Hello friends of the community! It’s Saturday night, 7:25 PM, and I’m ready for a shower after napping all afternoon while trying to watch The Hobbit for the tenth time. Here is my new series.

We are evolving; even in the informal bus sector, technology helps where cash is scarce. My lead photo is of a sleeping man next to a QR payment code—I chose it as number one because it perfectly captures our current reality. Then, a contrast: a hand extended to receive coins in exchange for a ticket, followed by a payment via "Yape," the most popular (and controversial) payment app in the country. I also included a framing shot formed by the arms and seats of passengers—I love how it creates a natural "box" around the subject.

As always, the youth are lost in their screens, disconnected from their surroundings. You can also see the Andean chullo appearing—it's finally June, and while the sun is out, the morning cold is brutal. The exhaustion of the morning often defeats us, leading to sleep in the bus, though I personally can't sleep while traveling; I’d rather be photographing. Finally, I close with the exit from the famous "killer combis," capturing a girl stepping out into the light after a journey that, in Lima, you never quite know how it will end. ¡Hola, amigos de la comunidad! Es sábado por la noche, 7:25 p. m., y ya me quiero meter un duchazo después de haber descansado toda la tarde viendo El Hobbit por décima vez (me quedé dormido, como siempre). Aquí les traigo mi nueva serie.

Estamos evolucionando: somos informales, pero la tecnología ayuda a pagar donde ya nadie maneja efectivo. La foto del señor dormido junto al QR de pago me encantó, por eso la elegí como la número uno. Luego viene el contraste de la mano extendida para recibir las monedas a cambio del boleto, seguido de un pago con el famoso "Yape", la app más popular (y polémica, jeje) del país. También incluí un framing formado por los brazos y asientos de los pasajeros, creando un cuadro que encierra al sujeto.

Como siempre, la gente está más conectada a la pantalla que a su alrededor. Ya se empieza a ver el famoso chullo andino porque, por fin, llegó junio; el sol sale, pero el frío de las mañanas es azotador. El cansancio nos vence y muchos duermen en el bus —yo no puedo, prefiero estar fotografiando—. Finalmente, cierro con la bajada de las famosas "combis asesinas"; me encantó cómo la chica sale hacia la luz después de un viaje que, en Lima, nunca sabes cómo va a terminar.
