Monomad Challenge || "Jeungki "Rice Pounding Tool".
Hello Everyone.
Jeungki, that's what we say in the local language. Jeungki is a traditional tool made of wood used for pounding rice or grain. This tool is very important to protect because it is currently very rare. I think people no longer use these traditional tools because they are now familiar with machines that can save working time and are more efficient. We appreciate the existence of jeungki because people can look for alternative ways and switch to sophisticated technological innovations. The importance of the development of science to realize technological progress.
Currently, I only see jeungki in the Aceh Museum. Earlier when I was a child I used to see jeungki in every house but now I don't see it anymore due to innovative factors and also society has abandoned it. If not preserved, the traditional tools will disappear from the evidence that they ever existed. Interestingly, I saw that the jeungki had floral motifs with very nice carvings. So not only do I think it's important for conservation, but I also admire the people who carve the wood carvings.

Many ancient people used this tool as a tool to make flour from rice. Where I live there are also tools like that and people used to tell stories about how they made flour from rice.
I became inspired. I really understand that traditional tools are very hard to find nowadays. should be preserved.
yes friend. Thanks for the comments.
Thank you @ewkaw for supporting me. Have a nice day. Warm regards.
Wowwwww!! Your photographing skill is top notch.
Kudos!!!
My favourite colour is black&white that's why I always like to viewing photos that it is used.
The manufacturer(s) of jeungki were very creative and that can be seen on the accurate interlocking each design on the wood.
I've never seen a rice tool reality before because there's no planting of rice over here but then, I doubt if there will be any locally made tool that will surpass the beauty of jeungki.
I agree, I'm so sure that where you also have traditional agricultural tools, even though it's not the same as where I am, I hope you can find it and look forward to your story.
