DJ's Night 📸 MONOMAD
A fantastic album launch party was held in Istanbul on December 9th. Four hip-hop producers with a small but niche audience came together for Armonycoma's new album, "Suddenly City Radio."
I make sure not to miss such events, so I was there with my camera. The venue was in Istanbul and was relatively small. The musicians took turns at the DJ deck and presented us with different experimental hip-hop sounds.

The album was more downtempo than dance music. It was an album that required the listener to let themselves go with the flow of the music and experience the flow of the sounds. If you want to listen to the album, here's a link:
I don't know if everyone enjoyed this show, but for me it was pretty good. I really love avant-garde works that break out of the usual molds in the field of music.

The lighting was very low and warm. That's why the black and white versions of the photos satisfied me more.
I used Sony A7SIII camera with Sony 50mm f/1.8 and Samyang 24mm f/2.8 lenses and edited photos in Adobe Lightroom.

Very nice shots. Looks like a nice little private party where everyone knows everyone.
Yes, you guessed right, in a way it was :)
I mostly like these small gatherings of 50-100 people, very friendly, almost like family reunion or a community. I was organizing such events, concerts and parties, public, underground and private.
Yes, I feel same way. I prefer a conscious niche audience over a large crowd that has no idea what they're listening to.
Correct description! "Large crowd with no idea" 😂
Are you living in Istanbul?
Yes, I live in Istanbul. If you happen to be in the area, let me know, and I'll introduce you to the Istanbul underground :)
Ooo, thank you so much! I was on the airport few days ago. I would like to explore Istanbul and Turkey once in my life...
Lovely
thank you!
