Ton Rung Village with village temple, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. On this trip, my wife and I visited Phrao District again. We through many villages and temples. But in this post, I'll take you to see a rural village and a local temple in this district. And in my other post, I'll take everyone to see other villages and temples in Phrao District from this trip. This post is a peaceful rural village of local Thai with small temple. This village is called Ban Ton Rung. Ban Ton Rung is located in Pa Tum Subdistrict, Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province. It is a medium-sized village that is peaceful and nice. Most of the people in the village are farmers. The village community has houses, a health center, a school, shops, and restaurants. The atmosphere of this village is quite quiet in the late morning and afternoon. Most villagers stay at home, or farms or at work. But it seems to be busiest in the mornings and evenings.

Finally, I took everyone to see the village temple. Most of the people in the village are Buddhists. The temple is therefore a sacred place for religious rituals of the people in this village. This temple is called Wat Ton Rung. The name of this temple is the same as the name of this village. Wat Ton Rung was officially established as a temple in AD 1932 or 94 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1950 or 76 years ago. Unfortunately some areas of the temple are undergoing restoration. So we didn't walk around the temple. And this is the atmosphere in some areas of Wat Ton Rung.
