The Rain storms Came and flooded our city

Hello Friends,

I hope you are all doing well today and are nice and dry.

OMG, yesterday, well, last night, we had RAIN. Not like that average crazy Vietnman rain, not even like wild typhoon rains, no... we had the LV 80 Advanced Rain.

It was raining hard all day, like that rain you see and say... that some rain, I should stay home... but then at dusk the rain picked up. Starting at about 6 pm, the rain leveled up 100x. The already full drainage system was maxed out, the ocean was maxed out, and the stress backed up; bikes were washed away, streets became rivers, and side walks, the flooded banks.

For some reason. My friend and I decided to go out for dinner and into the flood. Good idea? Bad Idea? We can debate that... but we did it. She needed to meet a friend to teach them English too... after driving down the already flooded street, we had to re-route several times to avoid the wast high waters...

When we get to the flooded meeting place, her fried is not their (*found out later she was flooded out), so, dinner!

That was nice, but then at about 8 pm, the rains leveled up again!!!!

The streets that were about middle of the calf deep became middle of your thy deep and, at some points, waist high. We drove along the beach (*perhaps another bad idea), and on the way back onto the streets, that is when the flood finally flooded my poor little motor scooter.

About 1 mile from the house, we pushed the bike up the river (*err umm street?). PHEW. It was a good workout, to say the least, lol.

My friend found a carp swimming in the street in knee-high water. We did try to save it, but it was on a mission of adventure.

Anyways, the rain was wild, the flooding wild, and the light dinner delicious. Here are some photos I tried to take without destroying the phone.

The little top gray in the photo was the plastic bag I had my phone in.

This was one of the less flooded parts.

That car, about 1 hr before was covered up to the wheel top!

This is my bike, at a resting point. The water here was up to my kick stand, but 2 streets back, it was up to my seat.

This is my street, it was flooded up to the bottom of my calf.

So so so much water, I think we got a good washing.

After this, it was time to go in, take a hot shower and watch Rick and Morty.

Well, here it is the next day. I had to bring my bike to the shop for the waterlogging, and while it's sunny now, we are on track to get the next showers tonight... they are going to be like this again, I am told... but that is crazy talk for sure!

The world absolutely is going through climate change - there's no denying it. The effects of climate change are being felt by people all over the planet, and they will only get worse. We need to take action to mitigate the effects of climate change and prevent further damage. We can do this by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, protecting and restoring our forests, and investing in renewable energy.
