Claim it forward

Home minister texted me and ask how much to change the window, and I already expected something is wrong. As the photograph arrived, I know this isn't something I want to spend money to repair from my pocket.

For a brief moment, I almost fall into the death trap of spoiling my mood for such incident. Can you blame me for thinking it that way? Don't forget, we just had a car breakdown couple of days ago, and now this. I checked the front quarter window will cost $125 on eBay. I assume if it's being repaired here, it will be a thousand ringgit already.

I've been weighing out is it possible to claim under the windscreen coverage? or trigger an own damage and use the insurance facilities instead. Something tells me, the motorcyclist can come back and sue me anytime for something I didn't commit, due to the law bias for 2 wheeler.

I'm grateful that the home minister is unhurt. The hell with the insurance premium for next year, we will make the claim and hopefully the 2 wheeler doesn't put up a liability law suit against me. Not the most ideal solution, my next year insurance is definitely gonna be super expensive. If I choose to NOT trigger the insurance claim, I could be in trouble if the motorcyclist decided to lodge a case against me.

Other than the lockdown being uplifted, this is probably the most challenging month I had in this year. Now, let's hope the repair shop can return my car before Christmas.
