Trying to grow mulberry from cutting!

Namaste to all Phone Photography lovers!πŸ™

Do you remember those mulberry trees in my area? A few days ago while scrolling through YouTube I came across videos of growing a new tree from the branches of any mature tree. I studied them a little and then I thought why not try to grow new trees from the branches of those trees in my area.

So I cut a total of 4 branches of about 6-8 inches long from white and black mulberry trees. During the process, I had to keep in mind that these branches should not be green and fresh but brown and ripe and also a little thick.

Then first I soaked them in water for a whole night and then the next day I peeled off about 2 inches of the top surface of one side of each of them because new roots will start propagating from this peeled side only.

This part is important. Before planting this peeled part in the soil, it is very beneficial to apply fresh aloe vera gel to it because, on one hand, the aloe vera gel will not cause fungus to grow on it, and on the other hand, it will help in the germination of the roots with its nutrients.

After this, I planted these branches in the soil at a depth of 2+1 inches and after pouring water on top, I kept them in a place with partial sunlight. Now the waiting time starts from here, I don't know exactly how much time it will take because different times were written in different videos, but I guess that if this test is successful, then in 3 to 4 weeks I will definitely get a glimpse of new shoots sprouting on them.

Till then, you and I both wait together for life to flourish on them.

I hope you enjoyed my Phone Photography and Gardening! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸΌ

ohh, you're doing great actually.. in my province, mulberry cuttings are a little expensive because of the aloe vera.. The rooting process may test your patience because it might take 4-6 weeks depending on the humidity and temperature.. but some may root as fast as 2 weeks..
Good luck @untilwelearn I'm rooting for you πŸŒΏπŸ˜…
