Mirabilis in Latin means wonderful and Jalapa (or Xalapa) is the state capital of Veracruz in Mexico
There are so many plants and flowers growing all around us. Most of them have some good name to call upon. Lotus, Rose, Lilly etc. are quite an attractive name of the flowers that sounds good to ear. However the name 4'o Clock for a flower does sounds strange.
But this is so true, and we happen to know of this flowers since childhood. We have lot of them, and we always refer it with the same name. The real name is Mirabilis Jalapa also known as the Marvels of the Garden*. This is a part of the ornamental flower plant that are available in different range of colors. From Pink to Yellow to combination of both. They really add beauty to the Garden.
The reason it is called as 4'o Clock is because, the flowers of this plant do not open until late in the day. It blossom during the evening time. It carry a beautifully fragrance too. The plant grows in full sun and well-drained soil. I remember, putting one of them in my tub only to find it started to budding. *Here are the fresh collection of the buds before they turned into a trumpet shape flower
The buds are coming put nicely, with few of them ready to blossom. These plant does not require much care. I hardly ever watered this plant, still as you can see it is ready to beautify my terrace. This one is Pink color species which is mostly grown here. It is kind of weed or may be grow due to pollination. I have seen them growing on my terrace from no where. It does add some real beauty as well as fragrance to my terrace. At least makes my night walk quite aromatic.
The buds were growing nicly. With some shades of red, in middle of the Green leafes, making it quite attractive from naked eye. While the rest of buds are too small and looks a tiny green balls. It is the nature's magic making even the growth so beautiful.

Infact it is not easy for me...inhave a shaky hand...but I did my best to capture as much as possible....The flowers going to be besutiful...it has a long neck with petals on top....

It looks like a trumpet musical bass, with a long neck and petals on the top...I will.definatelly share it...but the colors is top dark...it is in darkest pink in appearance

Yes, that is true. There are lots of pretty flowers grows in different places and it gives a beauty of the place. Seeing this kind of flower buds makes us happy and relaxing.
Natural growth in flowers are pretty fast, we hardly take a note of them, but once we see them, it good to capture ...
