A brief report from the garden in June , 2

Don't read this report, it will be boring :)
Actually, I'll follow up on my last quick report from the garden.
I bought a shade net, and prepared the bows, ropes ...
That evening night fell on us, but we prepared a searchlight. And we hung up the net and tied it at all ends. They reported calm weather without wind.

For today and the next few days, we still have work to do to secure the net. In fact, whenever we see that the net needs to be secured and hooked somewhere, we should not overtighten the net so that the wind does not tear it.

We also tied our tomatoes to the same structure with ropes. So we made a real maze with ropes. But luckily the passages in the rows were free, mostly.

Grass has sprouted through part of the mulch, we put down a thin layer. We'll have to add more to keep the grass from growing.

The spotlight was left in the garden, we need it in the evening. Because we work in the garden either early in the morning or late in the evening.

Today it was 34-35 degrees Celsius, for the weekend they are announcing 36-37 degrees.
Because the temperatures are very high for most plants.

We installed a watering system that we covered with mulch. To prevent excessive evaporation and moisture loss in the soil. We had to add a 40% shade net. That is about the optimal shade percentage for peppers.
We have 7-8 types of peppers and 4-5 types of tomatoes, these are our main crops and we try to protect them. And other plants will not complain about the shade either. Because the net reduces the temperature by 5-6 degrees, reduces plant stress and sunburn.

Thanks for reading.
Until next time.
Stay healthy.

Why did you write it if you don't want people to read it XD

Had to giggle at your rope maze, as long as everything is still somewhat accessible it's probably fine right XD We haven't set up extensive shadehouses here, the closest problem we've had was the first time the aquaponics got moved and J had to set it back up in a hurry and accidentally made a pipe maze which made one of the beds very difficult to access. We've since moved them again and now he has more time to properly plan the pipe layout so they're not a trip hazard XD

I was joking a little :) Of course I'm glad when people read my post
We made a real catfish net, which only I catch myself in.
Jokes aside, we had to make it so strong to secure the net. Yesterday was the first small storm and the net survived without any problems.
But we set it up so that it can survive supercell storms.

Yesterday there was a little rain, it was refreshing, but today and the next few days the peak of the heat wave is coming.
