Hello my fellow Gardeners,

What's up friends? I hope you are doing very well starting with new week. Yesterday was a Sunday and I didn't have anything special to do. The reason for this was due to the illness of our newborn baby and the intermittent rain that had been falling since morning. So it was difficult for me to spend time at home. Every day of the week was busy and I would travel sometimes on weekends. So when the rain subsided, I went to our garden and focused on the cultivation work. But what I hope to emphasize in this content is the work of cultivating the crops that my parents work so hard to maintain. I will present the work of my garden in a future content.

No matter how hard I tried to grow and harvest pumpkins, a vegetable rich in vitamin C, they were in vain. Pumpkins mostly bear fruit in dry regions. These vines need a lot of space to spread and do not require much maintenance. Fortunately, the pumpkins in my parents' garden are blooming and are about to bear fruit. In fact, we buy pumpkins for our home consumption from the market. Pumpkin vines need to be spread along the ground because the pumpkins increase in size and become an unbearable burden for the vines.

Ginger is a crop with medicinal value. Since its tubers grow underground, it is necessary to have experience regarding the time of harvest. Otherwise, the plants can be harvested without the tubers. Once these grow well, they can be seen spreading as bushes. Recently, several ginger plants were planted in my garden, and their condition can be seen in the future. The ginger tubers of my parents' cultivation were planted in the ground and in empty pots and are now growing well. Ginger, which is sold at a high price in the market, can be saved in the wallet by growing it in a garden like this. Also, if you can get a large harvest, you can provide an additional source of income.

Pomegranate is a very nutritious fruit, and since the pomegranate tree died long after the harvest, the mother planted a new plant. This pomegranate plant has been planted in a small pot by adding compost, sand, coir and soil. They hope to see ripe fruits here in another year or two. The mother had also planted another valuable crop, cardamom. These are also crops that can generate additional income. Cardamom pods are produced once a year and yield a large harvest. Therefore, cardamom can be considered as one of the most important plants to plant in a garden.

Although tomato plants were not seen in my parents' crop, they were seen maintaining a few plants with difficulty. Since the leaves of these plants show symptoms quickly, sacrifices must be made to obtain a harvest. In addition, several sweet potato vines were also seen, and judging by the type of leaves, it can be assumed that they are yellow sweet potatoes. Bitter gourd plants were also newly planted. I hope that my parents' crop will bear fruit in the future, just like my bitter gourd.

My parents' chilli farming is incredibly successful. Apart from green chillies, other chilli varieties are very spicy, but they are used to flavour curries such as meat and fish. These chillies are best added to curry with two pods. You can also use a blender to grind them with onions, salt, etc. to make a more delicious sambol.
