My Small Harvest

Friends, how are you? Best regards. I have my garden in a small balcony and windows of my house; I really love to grow plants, both ornamental and edible. The thing is that I have been planting some vegetables for a long time, but they do not grow as fast as I want them to, even when they complete their growth process. I can't understand if it is because they have too much sun, or too much water, the fruits come out when they want. And so, in my wait to see the fruits grow, I get desperate, and I have to arm myself with patience. Sometimes the flowers fall off and sometimes they are resistant.

Even so, I maintain its care and I have finally achieved some crops, a couple of peppers, taking a long time, these came out very large, perhaps it is due to the seed, which I used, the seeds were of a large pepper, I feel rejoiced, imagine if I were given all the bushes, I would feel fulfilled.

I also got a harvest of some tomatoes, although contrary to the peppers, they are small, they have a beautiful color, they were able to survive because as they were growing the bush was drying out. Sometimes the weather is extremely hot in the mornings and then precipitation falls in the afternoons, it is something that cannot be avoided.

At that time I also planted garlic plants and some onions. Some passed the test, he used them by cutting their leaves to season the food, maybe that's why and weakened them. I would like if you can give me some advice, I know you have a lot of experience. I had planted chili peppers, but the bushes all dried up, their leaves withered and, as they did not thrive, I had to pull them up.

One of the plants that has been kind is spinach. It multiplies very fast, it grows very well in pots with plenty of space, its leaves grow large, when they do not have much space its leaves are small and the whole plant atrophies. Its seeds are given in the same stem. I use this plant constantly to combine it with food.

Now I am sowing again sunflowers and other assorted flowers, paprika and tomato, I have a lot of variety of vegetables I hope to show them in a few months, if the weather helps me, I am in a project to acquire more materos, soil, compost and fertilizers, to condition the plants and give them a better quality, maybe they need a deeper attention.

I believe that having a garden at home benefits us and enhances our health because it gives us healthier food and the mere fact of growing and harvesting it gives us great satisfaction, because we know where our food comes from, which is why we must continue to create spaces to enlarge our garden and take advantage of all those vegetables that occur in seasons, the larger our garden, the more crops we will have.
