Gardening civilization

Hi Hive Lovers

These are some new hopes for me to enjoy in the not too distant future. Mango fruit that looks ripe, pomegranate pistils and beautiful pomegranate flowers that will become fruit buds, cayenne pepper that never stops bearing fruit, tomatoes that take turns ripening, Lemons are getting sour, areca nut full on the stem and many other contents of my garden that have not been fruitful for now.

David E. Cooper in his book A Philosophy of Garden states that the enthusiasm of gardens and gardening are activities that have been carried out by humans since the time of civilization. ancient humans to modern civilizations, in East and West and continues to be forever as an important human activity and very meaningful for the good life.

According to Cooper, gardens and gardening represent our contribution as humans to the environment and a good life. The philosophy of gardening and gardening is different from the wilderness environment which is not entered by the role and influence of human intervention. The role and intervention of humans in gardening and gardening activities has provided the life force that grows with the right way to act when treating, feeling and giving touch to the growth of plants in the garden and a sense of happiness in the results. It was very different from the wilderness environment where human moral goodness did not enter. It is in gardens and gardens that the good life goes. It is this philosophy that is interesting and answered by David E. Cooper in this book published by Clarendon Press, Oxford. You will get an in-depth review if you are willing to read it.

For those of you who have or are currently gardening, you will be fully involved there. I mean, physically and mentally you're really there. Even with full hope, your soul is present when cultivating the soil and planting media, sowing the seeds, waiting for them to germinate and show the first leaves, fertilizing and watering, caring for and guarding against pests, waiting for flowers and fruit to be produced.

Each stage of the gardening process is your intimacy with nature and it engages you more and more deeply. I even once found a gardener talking to the plants while gently stroking their leaves. He felt his presence in the garden as an amalgamation of himself with nature. I said, the presence of the gardener as an integral part of a garden there.

Some people are emotionally involved with their garden and it becomes a symbol of their spiritual connection with nature. I have made several hiking trips to several mountains and wilderness. But, the sensation that I felt when I was in the garden and gardening, I never got when I did those trips.

I didn't get the "good life" sensation Cooper said. I just felt like I was in a foreign environment and only got awe at the majesty of the mountains and wilderness as the natural aesthetics of a small part of God's creation. I was never involved in wilderness growth and development and never connected emotionally. I have never treated, felt and never gave any touch to their growth and development there. My role and intervention in the wilderness is limited to keeping my hands from damaging them.

The history of human civilization will never be far from gardens and gardening, even for those of you who were born and grew up with concrete forests in urban areas, you will have a longing and need for the growth and development of a plant. You will be happy even if you only take care of a small plant in a small pot that you place on the balcony of your room which is on the 40th floor of a multi-storey building.

Feel free to leave a comment, if you have gardening experience or have the desire to grow a plant in your small pot.
