How the leaf grew in 7 days

My first post here. I’m not an experienced home plant grower, I’m just glad I don’t forget to water my plants. But I’m a photographer, and I love watching new leaves grow, so I took photos of one leaf every day. It opened up and became a big leaf in just seven days.

Is this a fortune tree? We also have that but we cut it because it has grown too tall for my mother's liking haha. Happy growing!
