Bruarfoss Waterfall

(Edited)

Bruarfoss was one of the waterfalls that I still had not seen before my last trip to Iceland. I am pretty certain that this is the bluest waterfall in the country. I have seen most of the major and many other waterfalls in the country but none of them have had water this blue. Bruarfoss is located in the southwestern part of Iceland and is not a well-known place to visit. If one goes to Iceland for a once-in-a-lifetime trip then there are many more famous places or waterfalls to visit. Lesser known gems like this get left in the background.

Over the river leads a bridge. The name Bruarfoss directly translates to bridge waterfall.
This is a view to the other side of the waterfall.

It does look pretty unique. In the middle of the waterfall is a crevasse that most of the water falls into and it looks dope.

I tried to take some longer exposure photos to get that smooth effect. I didn't have a tripod with me but I used a bridge for holding the camera in place. Not the best solution but I pretty much got what I wanted to get.

A bit closer.

We were able to get close to the waterfall itself and snapped this photo too.

Overall, it's an extremely peaceful place. Perfect to come and enjoy the water and sound without crowds of people.

This bridge waterfall is beautiful. I'm glad you finally got the chance to visit Bruarfoss because seeing these shots means it was worth it. Sorry about not having the tripod with you. The shots may not have come out the way you wanted them to, but they are still cool to look upon. Thank you for sharing.

endless amount of places to visit in Iceland even though the island isn't that large. One of the reasons why I always go back.

It is really unique and beautiful, the way water is gathering from all sides at one place is giving it a hell of a look.
