NINE OLD SHOTS FROM MY HOMETOWN

The year was 2014. I used to walk around my hometown with a small compact camera always at hand. I took plenty of photographs back then, but most of them, including the ones in this post, don't look very good. The camera was pretty bad and not completely functional, but that's not the only reason. The main reason was the lack of ambition. I was more into rambling around, playing with thoughts inside my head, and just enjoying the day. Photography was a very marginal activity on those 2014 walks.

You can take a scenic look at Medulin, my hometown, in this wide shot.

The flowers in this photograph are reflected on the surface of one of the tombs in the local cemetery. It was on the outskirts of town once upon a time when this was a small village but now is pretty close to the center of Medulin.

This artwork was found and photographed on the wall around a construction site on the seaside edge of town, in the area where most of the new apartment buildings are recently built.

This is an early morning scene from the bay of Medulin. It was photographed at the end of autumn.

Here you can see one of the storefront windows on the seaside promenade. The photograph looked pretty bad originally. It was messy and overexposed. This version obtained through Photoshop's "invert" option looks considerably better. Not great or good, but solidly passable.

The girl with the little dog was photographed near the entrance of one of the grocery stores in Medulin.

This little X ...

... was found on the tiles of the seaside promenade.

The whole geometric arrangement looked kinda artsy and vaguely symbolic so I photographed it.
