The 2025 Aztec-Mayan dragon

Once in a while, I discuss a bit how much I should spend on a silver. I have my limits. Recently, the Royal Canadian Mint released a beautiful Bee gold gilded for 150 CAD. With that price, I bought some high-premium 2oz Germania bars, which is quite expensive, since I bought nice 2oz Silver for around 100 CAD. So yeah, spending 150 CAD on 1 Oz of silver is a bit too much for me. I would be happy to have this beautiful Bee, since I love our blockchain and it is a topic-related coin.

I recently spent a bit more on a 1oz silver. Probably it is my limit. I spent 99 CAD on this silver coin/art. It is a coin but not in the shape of a coin. I started to see this silver piece a while ago and finally I bought it. As I mentioned earlier, you can purchase some 2oz rounds at this price, but the art and details are truly amazing. It is part of the dragons of the world collection from the Shanghai New Century Mint, the same one that produces the pandas.

The 2025 Aztec-Mayan dragon brings a high ultra relief piece of art that I don't regret paying that price. The Quetzalcōātl is actually a feathered serpent and is considered a god in both Aztec and Mayan cultures, not quite a dragon in the traditional way. The coin is minted for the Fiji Islands and in my point of view, it can be added to a display on any shelf in your house. It isn't a regular coin for sure. The mintage is low, only 1,500 are there.

After buying this piece, it gave me some desire to get the other coins from this collection, the 2024 Chinese dragon, the 2023 Egyptian dragon and the 2022 Welsh dragon. But they are all sold out. It is a nice collection indeed, maybe I will check their 2026 release, maybe it is going to be another good one.

A cunhagem é baixa, apenas 1.500 moedas.

The Feathered Serpent, that's cool.
There are times when a certain coin you must get regardless of the crazy fun premium. I can make a list of these one day as my top 5 Crazy Silver Buys.
We collect what we like.

Great idea!! It is interesting how our logic goes… like "this is a nice coin but i wont spend that " and then " this coin is nice, the price isn’t but still I will buy it "

I know the feeling, I have so many things I would love to buy, but just not in the budget or the price is just too crazy! Did you see that update one the San Jose a couple days ago, they found the stern with a lot of coins. It's going to be cool to see them actually start brining them to the surface!

A San Jose shipwreck 8 Escudos gold coin is on my 2025 12 Days of Christmas wish list. Funny thing is I got an Insurance pay out that makes it possible and very tempting to go for it.

Depression + available cash = Grief buying, a financially dangerous combination.

That is most definitely is a dangerous combination! Just imagine having an 8 Escudos in your hand that has been on the ocean floor for over 300 years. What cool feeling that would be!

Don't be surprised if you hear news of a DSS platform having been pirated from it's pen from a Vancouver Diving recovery craft business in the next few months.

That dragon is cool, a great coin to have invested in for sure. The be looks really cool as well, it might be a good investment down the road. It's unique and the nice design may make it more collectible over the years. Awesome shiny stuff!
