Una caminata o un paseo cada día es parte de mi rutina, aunque sin hora fija. Distancia y velocidad van a depender del propósito y la compañía.
Seis kilómetros o una vuelta a la manzana con una pausa en la plaza para sacarme los zapatos y caminar descalzo. Un momento de contemplación de la naturaleza o de la creatividad de un artista.

Luego de investigar un poco, caigo en cuenta de lo muy distraído que ando.
Llevo año y medio pasando junto a este mural y no fue hasta esta semana que reparé en él. Muchas veces paso por esta acera, pero ayer lo vi desde el otro lado de la calle; en realidad, primero lo vio mi señora @dulce.crucita, quien tomó la primera foto; luego cruzamos para tomar otras más cerca.

Algunos transeúntes se nos quedaron mirando, pero solo una joven se detuvo a mirar, que llamaba nuestra atención, y comentó sorprendida las muchas veces que ha pasado por el lugar sin darse cuenta del mural.
Según deduzco de la publicación en Instagram de las artistas, la obra está en el muro desde abril del 2023.

Seguramente el dueño(a) de la pared quiso compartir su afecto por el noble ser de atenta mirada echado, pero atento.

Decir más es pura especulación de mi parte. Solo queda reflexionar acerca de cuántas cosas pasan inadvertidas junto a nosotros, muchas veces por causa de la prisa, la cual a veces ni siquiera tiene un motivo.

Me gusta escribir al menos trescientas palabras y hay días en que me dejo ganar por la flojera, ese mal tropical que ataca en todas las latitudes, solo que lo llaman pereza, así que hoy me la voy a sacudir y, como aquel perro que iba bebiendo en el Nilo, no me dejaré atrapar por el taimado
cocodrilo.
Completadas las 300 palabras, les dejo el poema El Perro y el Cocodrilo del poeta Félix María de Samaniego, de donde he parafraseado la línea anterior.

Bebiendo un perro en el Nilo
al mismo tiempo corría.

After doing some research, I realize how distracted I've been. I've been walking past this mural for a year and a half, and it wasn't until this week that I noticed it. I often walk along this sidewalk, but yesterday I saw it from the other side of the street; actually, my wife @dulce.crucita saw it first and took the first photo; then we crossed over to take some closer ones.

Some passersby stared at us, but only one young woman stopped to look at what had caught our attention, and she commented, surprised, on how many times she had walked past without noticing the mural.

Based on the artists' Instagram post, I gather the artwork has been on the wall since April 2023.

Surely the wall's owner wanted to share their affection for the noble, attentive, reclining figure.

To say more is pure speculation on my part. It only remains to reflect on how many things pass us by unnoticed, often due to haste, which sometimes doesn't even have a reason.

I like to write at least three hundred words, and there are days when I let laziness get the better of me, that tropical affliction that strikes in every corner of the world, only they call it sloth. So today I'm going to shake it off and, like that dog drinking from the Nile, I won't let myself be caught by the cunning crocodile.

Having reached 300 words, I leave you with the poem "The Dog and the Crocodile" by the poet Félix María de Samaniego, from which I have paraphrased the previous line.
