Hola querido hiver.
Una parte de mis prácticas fotográficas que no había publicado hasta ahora es mi afición por las texturas. De vez en cuando me da por fijarme en elementos que pasan desapercibidos al ojo común y que, si les prestas una adecuada atención pueden representar tanto el equilibrio como el desasosiego. Todo depende de la lente con que los miremos.
A veces son cosas elaboradas por la mano del hombre, pero lo más fascinante para mí es encontrar que la naturaleza es su único creador.
Desde inertes piedras hasta restos de lo que fueron seres vivos. Patrones que se divisan desde lejos o tan minúsculos que solo los detecto con el modo macro de mi cámara.
Hoy dejo que sean mis fotos quienes hablen por mí. Para que tú les puedas dar el significado que desees.
Lo importante es que me divertí haciéndolas, seleccionándolas, editándolas y, desde ahora, dejándolas volar libres.

Hi, dear hiver.
One part of my photographic practices that I have not published until now is my fondness for textures. From time to time I notice elements that go unnoticed by the common eye and that, if you pay the right attention to them, can represent both balance and uneasiness. It all depends on the lens through which we look at them.
Sometimes they are things crafted by the hand of man, but the most fascinating thing for me is to find that nature is their sole creator.
From inert stones to the remains of what were once living things. Patterns that are visible from far away or so tiny that I can only detect them with the macro mode of my camera.
Today I let my photos speak for me. So that you can give them the meaning you want.
The important thing is that I had fun making them, selecting them, editing them and, from now on, letting them fly free.

Me gustan mucho estas fotografías. Al igual que tú, me atraen mucho las texturas, aunque no suelo fotografiarlas porque no cuento con una buena cámara y mi teléfono se queda bastante corto en ese aspecto. Espero pronto poder obtener, al menos, un teléfono nuevo con mejor cámara y poder tomar algunas fotografías para compartirlas con ustedes.
Mientras llega ese móvil nuevo te animo a que vayas practicando con el que tienes. A veces el efecto desenfocado queda mejor que la imagen nítida.
¿Sí? Pero tengo entendido que ese efecto se logra más que todo en el modo retrato, ¿No?
En mi teléfono el modo retrato enfoca el objeto y difumina lo de alrededor. Pero no sé si es lo común. Y me obliga a alejarme unos dos metros, cuando yo tiendo a pegarme a las cosas. 😂
Sí, eso es lo que hace el modo retrato. Es como está programado para funcionar jaja. Siempre enfoca el primer plano y deja el segundo plano desenfocado para hacer destacar al objetivo principal.
Entonces ya tienes un buen equipo de práctica. 😁
Ve esta foto que tomé hace 5 años con un Redmi 9 que tenía en ese momento. Justo hablábamos de las fotografías en modo retrato y sobre las texturas y Google Fotos me mostró ese recuerdo jaja.
¡Google es muy listo! 😂 Pues la foto está muy bien, me gusta mucho la mezcla de colores del trenzado y que la esfera no aparezca completa queda sugerente y fomenta la imaginación.

Veo que tienes preferencia por la madera, jeje. Las que más me gustan son la que dejé como portada por su colorido y justamente esa del tronco por el significado del ser ya no vivo que continúa siendo útil. Por eso me gusta practicarlo, para detenerme y concentrarme en ese instante. Solo así puedo conectar con las imágenes que capturo. Lo recomiendo.

Wow, your macro photos look amazing. Every detail of the image has its own story. Like there is a small puzzle from nature. The impression is, it makes us think and feel.
Oh I love the puzzle metaphor! Yes, every object and living being is in reality a giant puzzle made up of cells, particles, molecules. We content a universe.
What a great variety of patterns. There is something calming about them.
I think I like them so much precisely because they bring calm to my mind. They are like mandalas used for meditation.
By the way, the one you chose I captured at a shrine. Coincidence?

Es una afición muy relajante 😁 A mi también me encanta fotografiar texturas, intenta con la parte macro de tu cámara y toma fotos de cobijas o de la tapicería de los muebles, seguro te va sorprender.

Cuando me pongo “en modo fotógrafa” disfruto mucho, la verdad. Me concentro en eso y me olvido de todo.

Ya te conozco un poco más, Paloma. No conocía esta afición por las texturas. Hay varias fotos muy interesantes. Entre las que más me han gustado coincido con las dos seleccionadas en los comentarios.

Pues te cuento más, comencé a experimentar con las texturas cuando enpezó Instagram, en la época en que allí solo había buenos fotógrafos. Eran lo único que podía compartir con algo de dignidad jaja. Pero fui borrando todas las fotos que hice por entonces y lo retomé gracias a Hive. Abrazo de regreso.
Has hecho muy bien en retomar estos experimentos con texturas. Por ti y por nosotr@s.

Que lindas fotos, los detalles hacen la diferencia, a veces vamos tan de prisa que no miramos a nuestro alredodor y nos perdemos de observar los elementos que aunque parezcan sencillos tienen mucho que ofrecer, la puerta es mi favorita.

Great shots. Those are very hypnotic textures. Maybe it’s the coffee, but the stones are breathing with me!
Seriously though, I admire a stone work that is common to the Los Angeles area. I think you would appreciate. It looks like layers of granite with more frequent large flat pieces positioned vertically as opposed to stacked horizontally. Like, a little bit of both, but mostly vertical large flat pieces about 3 x 3 in size. Mixtures of white and light brown colors, but mostly white.
Maybe I’ll find a picture.
Oooh the coffee print it’s a great texture too! It would be nice to have a photo of the stone work on Los Angeles. I tried to get it but Google doesn’t help. 😒
I’m sure I have a few in my phone gallery, but that’s a slippery slope. I’m sure I’ll pass by a section of Rockwall and I’ll take a picture for you.

Saludos, sin duda alguna los patrones de la naturaleza son mis favoritas por lo extraño y lo aleatorio, sin embargo, los realizados por el hombre a veces tienen un poco de aleatorio. Muy expresivas y artísticas las imágenes muy bellas a veces hay belleza donde menos lo creemos.
Coincido contigo en la predilección por los patrones que emergen en la naturaleza. De hecho los realizados por humanos están basados en ellos, pues las formas naturales son las primeras que estudian y practican los artistas. Me alegra saber que te gustaron las imágenes, gracias. ❤️

Aww your students are Spanish!! Philippines and Spain have many years of history in common. I love when reading posts of your country I see names of places or people that are native of Spain, hehe. (I’m improving my poor English skills since I’m in Hive and try to use the translator less)

Yes! They're my private students for years now. :) We have a lot of common words such as merienda, siesta, sandalyas, among many others. And, these are commonly used words in the Philippines. Just keep on practicing. I read your posts and your English is already good.
Such beautiful photos! Is it just me or sometimes I see some kind of image in the textures? Like in the tree photo. I can see a woman looking up the sky. And some peaks of the mountain. And a little oyster, too.
The beauty of photography is that it is the viewer who completes the work, making sense of it in their mind by giving it meaning. I didn't see any of that and I think it's wonderful that you find them. 😃
