Flower Macro
Like all photography, lighting is a big determining factor in how something might look when shooting something in macro. It's good to experiment with different looks; even a slight change can yield a result you didn't expect.
I used a single light source for these shots but was moving the light around to get other details to come out and see what kind of look I could achieve for these close-up flower shots.
I was really focused on the center of the flower, and I found even adjusting the intensity of the light was enough to change the tones. I like doing a variety of shots because when it comes time to edit, there might be ones I didn't like as much or others that looked much better than I thought, so it gives me more options to work with.
