Hello #Hive friends... Some of you may have noticed the recent news regarding the severe weather conditions that our country has been facing in recent days.... It has actually rained like it hasn't rained in a long time and in many places the rivers have destroyed villages.... Fortunately in my locality the impact of the rains has not been as dramatic... However, as soon as we have a sunny morning and no fog, we all seem to rush out to do what we like best or what the rain has prevented us from doing.

Hola amigos de #Hive... Quizás algunos de ustedes han observado las recientes noticias relativas a las severas condiciones meteorológicas que ha afrontado nuestro país en los días recientes... En realidad ha llovido como hace mucho tiempo no sucedía y en muchos lugares los ríos han destruido pueblos... Afortunadamente en mi localidad el impacto de las lluvias no ha sido tan dramático... Sin embargo, apenas tenemos alguna mañana soleada y sin nieblas, todos parecemos salir presurosos a hacer lo que más nos gusta o lo que la lluvia ha evitado que hagamos.

"Everyday Street"... Just a couple of blocks away from my house, the people on the streets betray an unusually feverish attitude and seem to be eager to take advantage of the rain-free morning to fulfil their obligations... I like this photo for its simplicity and august eloquence.

"Calle Cotidiana"... Apenas a un par de calles de mi casa, las personas en las calles delatan una actitud inusualmente febril y parecen estar deseando aprovechar la mañana sin lluvias para cumplir con sus obligaciones... Me gusta esta foto por su simplicidad y augusta elocuencia.

"Contrasts"... As soon as the village ceases to exist and the countryside appears, it is possible to appreciate the contrasts between the different "worlds" of each individual... While a woman returns from exercising in the sunny morning, a group of workers do their best to plough as many plots of land as possible with their tractor in order to make some profit.

"Contrastes"... Apenas el pueblo cesa y aparece el campo, es posible apreciar los contrastes entre los diversos "mundos" particulares de cada quien... Mientras una mujer retorna después de aprovechar la mañana soleada para ejercitarse, un grupo de trabajadores hace lo posible por arar con su tractor, la mayor cantidad de parcelas de tierra para obtener alguna ganancia por ello.

"The cross of"... I don't really remember the name of the person, but this cross was placed there to mark the place where the manager of a farm died of a fulminant heart attack many years ago, precisely in that place at the side of the road... My uncles (the owners of the farm) used to tell me that story when I was a child, but I forgot the name of the person who died there...

"La cruz de"... En realidad no recuerdo el nombre de la persona, pero esta cruz fue colocada allí para marcar el lugar en donde el encargado de una finca murió de un infarto fulminante hace muchos años, precisamente en ese lugar a la orilla del camino... Mis tíos (los dueños de la finca) me contaban esa historia cuando yo era un niño, pero olvidé el nombre de la persona que falleció allí...

In my case, I usually go out to take photos... And this day I stumbled upon my old and small DSLR Nikon D3100 (I think it has about 11 or 12 years with me) and a Nikkor 55-200mm Zoom which I hadn't used for a long time... So I decided to take them both out for a walk and to keep the humidity and fungus away thanks to a surprising and unexpected morning with bright sunshine.

En mi caso, suelo salir a hacer fotos... Y este día me topé casualmente con mi vieja y pequeña DSLR Nikon D3100 (creo que tiene unos 11 o 12 años conmigo) y un Zoom Nikkor 55-200mm el cual llevaba largo tiempo sin usar... Así que decidí sacarlos a ambos a pasear y a alejar la humedad y los hongos gracias a una sorpresiva e inesperada mañana de sol radiante.

"Marcos and his grandson".... Marcos is a cheerful farmer (and my friend for decades) and he usually raises goats and sheep on his land... Now Marcos' eldest son has been forced to leave Venezuela in search of a better life, but his youngest son has decided to stay with his grandfather Marcos to look after the goats and sheep... These are complex realities that happen to many in the village.

"Marcos y su nieto".... Marcos es un alegre granjero (y mi amigo desde hace décadas) y suele criar cabras y ovejas en sus tierras... Ahora el hijo mayor de Marcos se ha visto obligado a marcharse de Venezuela en busca de mejor vida, pero su hijo pequeño ha decidido quedarse con su abuelo marcos a cuidar las cabras y las ovejas... Son realidades complejas que acontecen a muchos en el pueblo.

"The dead tree"... Oh, a tree withered and with bare branches!!!.... This automatically causes my "abstract and monochromatic instinct" to awaken immediately. :))

"El árbol muerto"... ¡Oh, un árbol marchito y con ramas desnudas!... Esto hace que automáticamente mi "instinto abstracto y monocromático" se despierte de inmediato. :))

"Chaos"... Few things are as fascinating and "complicated" to photograph as a tangled web of dry branches and foliage remains on a tree whose cycle is coming to an end.

"Caos"... Pocas cosas son tan fascinantes y "complicadas" de fotografiar como un entramado zafarrancho de ramas secas y restos de follaje en un árbol cuyo ciclo está acabando.

"Combined Monochrome"... And this is the result!... (at least one of them)... After shooting dozens of photos for several minutes under the branches of this huge tree with bare branches... I have enough material to make this kind of combined photos which fascinate me. ;)

"Combinado Monocromo"... ¡Y este es el resultado!... (Al menos uno de ellos)... Después de disparar docenas de fotos durante varios minutos debajo de las ramas de ese enorme árbol de ramas desnudas... Tengo bastante material para hacer este tipo de fotos combinadas las cuales me fascinan.

For those of you who follow my account, maybe you are used to see this kind of photos in monochrome (I really love Black and White), but today I decided to make an exception and share some images in colour to transmit an equally everyday image of what I observe and live here.

Para aquellos que siguen mi cuenta, quizás lo acostumbrado es ver este tipo de fotos en monocromático (yo realmente amo el Blanco y Negro), pero hoy decidí hacer una excepción y compartir algunas imágenes en colores para transmitir una imagen igualmente cotidiana de aquello que observo y vivo aquí.

"No captions here"... Have you ever seen anything more ramshackle...? :)) ha ha ha... ¡But still running!..

"Sin subtitulos aquí"... ¿Han visto algo más destartalado?... :)) ha ha ha... ¡Pero sigue rodando!...

"Town's Threshold"... As soon as we can see the urban edge of the village, some interesting scene is given to us to take my mind off the countryside "airs" wich imbued me... A little girl walks her beautiful pedigree dog along the path, they also take advantage of the sunny morning, whose duration will perhaps be short because rain is in the air...

"El umbral del pueblo"... Apenas se divisa margen urbano del pueblo, alguna escena interesante se nos regala para sacarnos de la cabeza el aire de campo que traigo embebido... Una niña pasea a su hermoso perro de raza por la vera del camino, ellos también se aprovechan de la mañana soleada, cuya duración quizás será corta pues la lluvia se presiente...

These are the images then, accompanied by anecdotes, comments and feelings that intertwine them a little with me and my experiences.

Estas son las imágenes entonces, acompañadas de anécdotas, comentarios y sentimientos que las entrelazan un poco conmigo y mis vivencias.

"Life goes smoothly"... Not everyone rushes out to do the things that the rain deprived them to make... Jesus (my namesake and friend) simply hangs up his old balance again and sets up a table in front of his house with the bananas he grows in his yard and puts them on sale... Life goes smoothly!.... :-)

"La vida se lleva en calma"... No todos salen con apuro a hacer las cosas las cuales la lluvia les privó de hacer... Jesús (mi tocayo y amigo) simplemente vuelve a colgar su vieja balanza y coloca una mesa en frente de su casa con los bananos que cultiva en su patio y los pone en venta... ¡La vida se lleva en calma!... :-)
