DOORS & WINDOWS UPDATE - (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)
The town is constantly changing. Many houses are abandoned, others are being remodeled, and still others are simply falling apart. As all this happens, their doors and windows mutate or disappear at their own pace, and I like to periodically document all this change through the doors and windows, which, since I started doing street photography, have been one of my most photographed subjects. I understand that nothing lasts forever, and I also understand that I live in a place where preserving old architecture isn't a priority, but I can't help feeling a certain nostalgia when I see these things slowly disappearing, absorbed by abandonment, neglect, or simply by change...
El pueblo está cambiando constantemente. Muchas casas están abandonadas, otras están siendo remodeladas y otras simplemente están cayéndose, y mientras todo esto pasa, sus puertas y ventanas mutan o desaparecen a su propio ritmo, y a mi me gusta periódicamente registrar todo esto que va cambiando con las puertas y ventanas las cuales, desde que hago fotografía callejeras, han sido uno de los motivos más fotografiados por mi... Entiendo que nada es para siempre, también entiendo que vivo en un lugar en donde preservar la viaja arquitectura no es una prioridad, pero no puedo evitar sentir cierta nostalgia cuando veo estas cosas desaparecer lentamente absorbidas por el abandono, el descuido o simplemente por los cambios...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7

Love this genre a lot! Each door (and window) is an abstract, Each door (and window) is a story. I even thought to create a subreddit, like, r/Rectangularity or r/UrbanCloseUp or r/DoorAndWindows....
Be careful with sharing links on Reddit - an old HivePosh account with much karma was banned today. Not clear what's happening, maybe the account was reported... But it might be that Reddit has become more aggressive toward Hive links. Up to you, though, maybe I am too cautious.

Doors and windows are always good to look at and photograph, my friend. I think they're things that always tell a story, and if they don't, they make you imagine one just by looking at them. Every now and then, I like to stroll through my streets and "update" my view of doors and windows. Some have disappeared, others have aged, others have been renovated; it always happens like that, and I enjoy taking those walks.
Regarding Reddit, well, what you say might be true, although it seems to me that it remains the same as always 🤔. But I'm pretty bad at noticing things happening on different platforms 😀. Well, I really am pretty bad at noticing everything, that's what my family says, but it's been lately, for about 10 years now, I think. Because before, I noticed a lot of things, but one day I started to stop noticing things, and so I speak a bit incoherently, or write like this, as it might seem now 😂... Maybe. The very old account with huge karma was banned, as I told you, but it might be someone from Reddit directly reported him - for regular sharing links to AI content (on Hive), and that's the only reason - it might be.
