Sometimes it's not necessary to have a whole street happening, no... Sometimes it's enough to stop and engage in sincere dialogue with something, anything, among the many things that surround us... Then, everything revolves around the details, the ability to understand the shapes, the fissures, the cracks, the textures, the colors in their dance with light, time leaving its mark, the irreversible decline of everyday life; as if those things, when looked at closely, were witnesses to the days passing in silence... Yes, sometimes, but only sometimes, street photography refers to those closed, intuitive, and even ephemeral spaces... I call them “details,” but I understand them as a random and unpredictable planisphere of images occurring there....

Algunas veces no es necesaria toda una calle sucediendo, no... Algunas veces es suficiente detenerse y entablar un dialogo sincero con alguna cosa, cualquier cosa, entre las tantas que nos rodean... Entonces, toso se gira en torno a los detalles, a la capacidad de entender las formas, las fisuras, las grietas, las texturas, los colores en su danza con la luz, el tiempo dejando huellas, el declive irreversible de lo cotidiano; como si aquella cosas mirada de cerca fuese un testigo de los días pasando en silencio... Sí, algunas veces, pero solo algunas veces, la fotografía callejera se remite a esos espacios cerrados, intuitivos e incluso efímeros... Yo los llamo "detalles" pero los entiendo como un planisferio aleatorio e impredecible de imágenes ocurriendo allí....

And it is impossible to escape attempts at poetry when observing certain things closely. I am quite clumsy when it comes to writing with gentle words, but even I cannot help but fall into the trap of more subtle thoughts as I instinctively frame the details I find scattered across the time-worn surfaces of my everyday streets... And the same thing happens to me, as you can see, when I absentmindedly ramble on, writing what I think, see, and understand about these photographs stolen from my small-town surroundings during my daily walks...

Y es imposible huir de los intentos de poesía cuando se observan algunas cosas de cerca. Yo soy un tipo bastante torpe para las lides de escribir con palabras suaves, pero inclusive yo, no puedo evitar caer en las redes de los pensamientos más sutiles mientras encuadro instintivamente los detalles que encuentro apostados en las superficies derrotadas por el tiempo en mis calles cotidianas... Y otro tanto me sucede, como pueden ver, cuando divago distraídamente escribiendo lo que pienso, veo y entiendo en torno a estas fotografías robadas de mi entorno pueblerino durante mis caminatas diarias...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
