Of the few February mornings we've had today, a couple have featured fog. So I've made the most of them, and instead of heading out to some rural area to take photos, I decided to stay in the town's streets and watch time slowly pass during those first hours of the day, trying to freeze and capture some glimpses with my camera to share with you on #Hive today...

Fog, when seen from afar, is a white canvas that blurs and even dissolves everything immersed in its density. However, when you focus up close on a foggy morning and appreciate more specific details, what you find is a kind of flat, even, white, and constant light that enhances everything and makes the shadows almost completely disappear. This post includes photos taken both ways. I've also kept the colors in all the photos because today I wanted to "dialogue" with them while editing and processing. The colors also change with the fog; some become more solid, while others tend to lose some of their saturation on days like this. And you'll see all of this in this series of photos...

De las pocas mañanas de Febrero que han transcurrido hoy, un par han tenido a la niebla como protagonista. Así que las he aprovechado bastante, y en lugar de irme hacia algún espacio campestre a hacer fotos; he decidido permanecer en las calles del pueblo y observar como pasa el tiempo lento durante esas primeras horas del día, e intentar congelar y robar con mi cámara algunas visiones para compartirlas con ustedes en #Hive hoy...

La niebla, cuando se ve desde lejos es un lienzo blanco que difumina y hasta disuelve las cosas inmersas en su densidad. Sin embargo, cuando en una mañana con niebla, enfocas de cerca y aprecias detalles más puntuales, entonces lo que hay es una especie de luz plana, pareja, blanca y constante, que realza todo y hace desaparecer las sombras casi en su totalidad. En esta publicación hay fotos hechas de ambas maneras. Además, he dejado los colores en todas las fotos, porque hoy quise "dialogar" con ellos mientras editaba y procesaba. Pues también los colores cambian al compás de la niebla, y algunos se tornan más solidos, mientras que otros, tienden a perder incluso algo de su saturación en días así. Y todo esto de lo que hablo lo verás también en esta serie de fotos...

And now the vertical photos, because in my universe, streets are also understood vertically, and sometimes even in squares that are neither one nor the other. But not today, today I only brought those horizontal ones from above and now these vertical ones from below...

Y ahora las fotos verticales, porque en mi universo, las calles se entienden en vertical también, y algunas veces hasta en cuadrados que no son ni lo uno ni lo otro. Pero hoy no, hoy solo traje hasta aquí esas horizontales de arriba y ahora estas verticales de abajo...
