Paseo en los Jardines del Campo del Moro 📸

Hola mis estimados, ¿me acompañan a pasear?

Comencemos... Cuando visité los Jardines de Sabatini, supe que en mi próxima visita a los alrededores del Palacio Real debía adentrarme en los Jardines del Campo del Moro. Hice el intento un par de veces, pero en ambas ocasiones me encontré con que el acceso al público ya estaba cerrado o a punto de estarlo. Por eso, en esta oportunidad, procuré llegar temprano ¡y se logró!

Sabía que ese paseo sería un encuentro cercano con la naturaleza, pero resultó ser mucho más que eso. Recorrer esos campos también significó viajar a través de la historia y la cultura, e incluso, me pareció un guiño al romance. Desde tramos engalanados por robustos árboles centenarios en lo que sientes que la vegetación te arropa, hasta los pequeños jardines llenos de colores, fuentes y esculturas que datan de siglos atrás, los Jardines del Campo del Moro esconden un enigmático tesoro.

Siempre me han cautivado los senderos poblados de árboles, donde son ellos quienes tienen el control y el sol solo puede esforzarse para filtrarse tímidamente entre las ramas. Disfruté enormemente la experiencia de caminar y descubrir nuevos recovecos, cabañas ocultas, estructuras antiguas y pasadizos que parecieran no conducir a ninguna parte. Y de repente, te topas con un pequeño estanque y unos bancos que te invitan a sentarte a contemplar el paisaje, leer un libro o, quizás, declararle tu amor a ese ser especial. No puedo negar que me sedujo la idea de recrear una escena de una novela de época, transportarme a tiempos pasados e imaginar esos tórridos y prohibidos romances que habrían tenido lugar en esos rincones escondidos.

Sinceramente, todo me pareció increíblemente romántico, quizás porque siempre he valorado el silencio y la intimidad que se generan cuando estás rodeado de árboles, flores y vegetación.

El paseo fue una delicia; regresaría las veces fuese necesario. Además, no alcancé ver a los famosos pavos reales de los que todos hablan. Ese día, o estaban siendo tímidos o estaban en su horario de descanso, pero no se dignaron en aparecer. Lo bueno es que ahora tengo más razones para volver, sobre todo considerando el hecho de que este es otro espacio, de los muchos que se pueden disfrutar estando en pleno corazón de Madrid.

Let's begin... When I visited the Sabatini Gardens, I knew that on my next visit to the surroundings of the Royal Palace, I had to venture into the Campo del Moro Gardens. I tried a couple of times, but on both occasions, I found that public access was either already closed or about to close. That's why this time, I aimed to arrive early, and it worked!

I knew that this walk would be a close encounter with nature, but it turned out to be much more than that. Roaming through those fields also meant traveling through history and culture, and even felt like a nod to romance. From stretches adorned with robust century-old trees where you feel the vegetation wrapping around you, to small gardens bursting with colors, fountains, and sculptures dating back centuries, the Campo del Moro Gardens conceal an enigmatic treasure.

I have always been captivated by paths with trees, where they are the ones in control, and the sun can only strive to filter timidly through the branches. I greatly enjoyed the experience of walking and discovering new nooks and crannies, hidden huts, ancient structures, and passageways that seem to lead nowhere. And suddenly, you come across a small pond and benches that invite you to sit and contemplate the scenery, read a book, or perhaps declare your love to that special someone. I can't deny that I was seduced by the idea of recreating a scene from a period novel, transporting me to times gone by and imagining those torrid and forbidden romances that would have taken place in those hidden corners.

Honestly, everything felt incredibly romantic, perhaps because I've always cherished the silence and intimacy that arise when you're surrounded by trees, flowers, and vegetation.

The walk was a delight; I would go back as many times as necessary. Also, I didn't get to see the famous peacocks that everyone talks about. On that day, they were either shy or on their off hours, but they didn't deign to make an appearance. The good thing is that now I have more reasons to return, especially considering that this is one more space, of the many that can be enjoyed in the heart of Madrid.
