#GRATEFULVIBES - ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE/WEEKLY THOUGHTS - 15 MAY 2023 - 21 MAY 2023

Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊
image.png
The Tulips are blooming and trying their best to withstand the crazy winds we’ve been having up here this spring, this is one of the stronger ones, still standing tall and proud. 😊
image.png
This poor little pink one is trying hard, but the wind is beating up her petals a bit. 😊
image.png
There is a nice bunch of Daffodils that are helping each other stand up to the winds in that same bed. 😊
image.png
Our pretty puppy mom Karma has gotten a bad habit that could be problematic…she decided to start digging up our front yard flower bed, to keep herself cool. Right now, there aren’t any flowers in there for her to kill off while she digs, but we’re going to have to break this habit quickly if we want flowers to survive there. 😊

One of our lovely ladies grabbing a snack. 😊

Homemade pizza pockets. 😊
image.png
It’s been a rough week for my left hand, I burnt my thumb and the first three fingers one day and then the next I thought it’d be a good idea to slice into my pinky, right through the nail, bled everywhere while I was preparing the teabag to cover/cauterize the slice. It’s healing up nicely now. 😊
image.png
This coffee cake was very popular with our youngest grandson when he came by for the weekend. 😊
image.png
These didn’t last long either. 😊

My handsome husband playing with our beautiful grand-puppy Mya. 😊

One of our Pigeons coming in for a landing. 😊
image.png
Some of our splendiferous sunset colours this week. 😊
image.png
My first attempt at from scratch biscuits. They didn’t quite turn out right, but they were still edible and went nicely with this weekend’s chili. 😊
image.png
Here’s this weekends chili, my handsome husband said I’ve gotten the spice down just perfectly and our son had some after he came to get our grandson and also said it was spiced just right, so I’m happy and will making sure to keep this version of the recipe, now that its been approved by all. 😊
image.png
The second red Tulip has opened up fully now. 😊
image.png
The pretty Nacho likes to climb up onto my handsome husband’s knee to ask him for treats. 😊
image.png
The hatchlings having fun in the herb garden area. 😊
image.png
From left to right, are our lovely ladies, Pansy, Duo, and Dot taking a stroll. 😊
image.png
Some nice bread to get us through the weekend. 😊
image.png
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when a squirrel is sunbathing, wonder no more, this is exactly how it looks. 😊
image.png
This picture I took of a pigeon flying by looks more like a painting than a photograph to me, am I the only one? It’s okay if I am, I don’t mind not being part of the crowd, but I’m curious to know if it just me or not, like they used to say back in the day, ‘I’m…uh…asking for a friend, LOL! 😊
image.png
The lovely Nacho chilling on my leg while I chat with some pigeons. 😊
image.png
After her snack, Nacho decided to do a bit of sunbathing, herself. 😊
image.png
Nacho sunbathing on my slipper. 😊
image.png
Victoria came by for a snack a few times this week, this was yesterday’s visit. 😊
image.png
I was mending some sweatpants and a pair of cotton shorts this weekend and broke two of my new Self-threading sewing needles. Has that ever happened to anyone else? 😊
image.png
This little cutie, our youngest grandson, came out for a visit and sleepover this weekend. It was nice to give his come cuddles in person. 😊
image.png
He kept calling the squirrels rats for some reason, but eventually he’ll figure it out, it will just mean a few more visits out to grandma and grandpas place and that’s fine with us, we enjoyed our visit. 😊
image.png
He really enjoyed helping grandpa feed Prince Lee his evening apple last night. 😊
image.png
Busted! I caught this squirrel mid-theft this morning. 😊
image.png
I’m not really sure why I even bothered giving him a fork to eat his pancakes with this morning because he really preferred using his fingers and then licking the syrup off, though he did enjoy holding the fork. LOL! He was happy and very sticky by the time he finished eating, but grandma got him cleaned up quickly. Then it was time to take a walk and get some fresh air. 😊
image.png
Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week! I’m grateful to God for blessing us with another week to share with you here. 😊 God bless you all. 😊 Have an awesome week everyone! 😊

Welcome back lovely lady, thanks for visiting! 😊

Oh no, well, I'd send you some if I thought customs would let it go through. 😊

Awe, thank you for saying that, that makes me happy. You're most welcome, it's my pleasure. I like spreading happy energy whenever I can. 😊

I have to go and make my handsome husband a birthday cake, so I'll chat with you again soon. 😊

Goodness, like @snook said, I am hungry after reading this. Seems like Nacho is a brave little squirrel. He is obviously safe in your AO. He might end up in a cook pot if he got that close to me😀. Nah, I have feeders out around our house for the birds and "rats" too. Your grandson is a handsome young lad. He will enjoy these memories you are sharing with him forever and be able to pass them on to his children and grandchildren.

Welcome back my friend, thanks for visiting! 😊

Sorry about that, again, I'd send you some if I thought the postal services would allow it to go through, but I doubt they would if I tried. They don't like liquids, even if they have solids in them.

Nacho is a brave gal, she comes by a lot, sometimes with her mate Half-Penny, but mostly on her own and has been visiting us for the past three years now. She's definitely used to us and has no qualms climbing up on us whenever we're outside. Anyone that comes by and sees her do it is completely caught off guard, but to us its a normal occurrence. LOL! 😊

We're hoping that our grandchildren all cherish their visits to our place and that they'll someday enjoy living on this land and carrying on the homestead tradition of squirrel taming. LOL! 😊

Okay, I've really got to log out of this computer and get into the kitchen. I'm baking a cake for my handsome husband's birthday, so I'll say goodbye for now and chat with you again soon. 😊

God bless you and yours. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! 😊

Thank you very much, I will tell him and I'll also pass along your hello to all our squirrels. If you're ever down our way and come by, maybe they'll recognize your name, at least. 😊

Have an awesome day my friend! 😊

I am not sure where down your way is. I am in Southern Indiana just north of Louisville.

Welcome back lovely lady, thanks for visiting! 😊

They are, soon they'll be heading out to the coop with the main flock and have to fend for themselves with the big hens. Hopefully, they don't beat them up too badly as they establish the new pecking order. 😊

Our grandson will be three at the end of July. He's a sweet fellow, I wish I could bottle and borrow some of his energy. If I could bottle it I'd send some to you too, just imagine the projects we could finish if we had that much energy. LOL! 😊

Thank you, its all them, I do nothing to them at all and they just get prettier and prettier each year. I will probably have to trim it eventually, but for now, I'm just enjoying the bleeding heart shape and look. 😊

I started cleaning, then came back for my tea cup and realized I never hit post on this reply, doh. So, now I'm going to hit post and get back to work. 😊

God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! 😊
