Laportea Aestuans
This is a fast growing annual herb often considered as a weed grown up to 0.5 - 2m tall and having green,hairy stems with broad heart-shaped to oval with serrated edges and rough edges.Flowers are small green, clustered in leaf axils.
Characteristics
The thrives in tropical and subtropical regions
They're common in Disturbed soils mostly roadside, gardens and forests
Known for it's stinging hairs that cause itching, burning on contact with the skin
Benefits
Used for herbal wraps for wounds.
Young leaves can be cooked ( Under caution)
They serve as cover plant which helps reduce erosion
Cautions
Avoid direct skin contact with the plant (handle with gloves)
Avoid raw consumption.it must be properly cooked
Do not plant in home garden where children and pets play as it can be harmful
