Giant snail of South America

Hello I hope you are very well, today I want to share with you this species, a snail that I found near my house, its name is giant snail of South America.

I tell you that they wanted to kill it because a neighbor believed that it was an African snail, I explained to her that it was not and I showed her photos.
But the truth is that it is easy to confuse for those who do not know it.

The giant African snail has stripes or lines, on the other hand the American snail does not have them.

These American snails are not poisonous and much less harmful, well at least for people, they usually measure up to 100 mm high and 60 mm wide, they are very important for the ecosystem as a nutrient recycler.

I hope you liked my observation today, greetings to all, God bless you, thank you for reading my blog ❣️.
