Un fantasma y su perro-Proceso de creación / A ghost and his dog - Creation process

Se acerca octubre y con este mes llega Halloween, es que me encanta esta festividad por los disfraces y la temática de terror, que es mi favorita. En Colombia, el 31 de octubre se ha convertido en una gran fiesta, las personas van disfrazadas a sus lugares de trabajo, a los centros comerciales y a muchas fiestas que se organizan para ese día. Por eso, quise hacer un personaje, un fantasma, que no tiene nada de extraordinario, excepto porque va acompañado de una cara de perro, que es el toque tierno de esta creación.

Hello friends of the Hive Diy community, I am happy to greet you and introduce you to this new project, a new handmade character, with pieces of fabric, threads, wire and a wooden stick.
October is approaching and with this month comes Halloween, I love this holiday because of the costumes and the horror theme, which is my favorite. In Colombia, October 31 has become a big party, people go dressed up to their workplaces, shopping malls and many parties that are organized for that day. That's why I wanted to make a character, a ghost, which has nothing extraordinary about it, except that it is accompanied by a dog's face, which is the tender touch of this creation.

Elaboré un dibujo, para tener clara la idea que había imaginado y como ven, esta es la muestra de que no hay que ser un gran dibujante para hacer tu personaje, ya que este es solo una guía, para mantener las proporciones.

Empecé por el fantasma, que era la figura más grande, utilicé tela fleece para el cuerpo y para los ojos, que iban pegados con hilo a la figura. El fantasma lleva un cuerpo de alambre, para darle estabilidad y permitir el movimiento en los Stopmotion, este es el secreto para que los objetos inanimados parezcan tener vida en cada video. Este amigo también lleva brazos y piernas, todo elaborado con la tela fleece.

I made a drawing, to have clear the idea that I had imagined and as you can see, this is the proof that you don't have to be a great draftsman to make your character, since this is only a guide, to keep the proportions.
I started with the ghost, which was the largest figure, I used fleece fabric for the body and for the eyes, which were glued with thread to the figure. The ghost has a wire body, to give it stability and allow movement in Stopmotion, this is the secret to make the inanimate objects seem to have life in each video. This friend also has arms and legs, all elaborated with fleece fabric.

La segunda figura de este personaje, es un perro, un ser tierno de color café. Cortamos los trozos de tela fleece marrón para la cabeza y orejas, además de fleece blanco y negro para los ojos y la nariz. Una tira de paño colorido, para el collar y cosemos, unimos todas las partes.

Colocamos un palo, pero, por ahora no les puedo contar la razón de porqué no tiene cuerpo. También añadí un pequeño cascabel rojo, que suena cuando hay movimiento. Este muñeco no lleva estructura de alambre, porque es un complemento para el fantasma, aunque, quizas más adelante le diseñe uno.

The second figure of this character is a dog, a cuddly, brown-colored creature. We cut out pieces of brown fleece for the head and ears, and black and white fleece for the eyes and nose. A strip of colorful cloth, for the collar and sew, we join all the parts together.
We placed a stick, but, for now I can't tell you the reason why it doesn't have a body. I also added a small red bell, which rings when there is movement. This doll does not have a wire structure, because it is a complement for the ghost, although, maybe later I will design one for him.

Es así como una idea, algo imaginado, se hace realidad, donde un dibujo se transforma en un fantasma con un perro. Me gusta esta figura porque se une un individuo que genera terror con uno que genega empatía, lo que demuestra que en este mundo hay espacio para todos, sin que eso signifique que somos iguales o que pensamos de una misma manera.

Los invitó a crear sus personajes, con retazos de tela, a crear seres imaginarios, pero mágicos, que servirán para decorar su hogar y para contar cuentos.

This is how an idea, something imagined, becomes reality, where a drawing is transformed into a ghost with a dog. I like this figure because it unites an individual that generates terror with one that generates empathy, which shows that in this world there is room for everyone, without that meaning that we are the same or that we think in the same way.
She invited them to create their characters, with scraps of fabric, to create imaginary but magical beings that will serve to decorate their homes and to tell stories.
