INTRODUCING MYSELF - My boats!

L'histoire se passe en 3 actes. Acte 1 : SAHARA. Un premier acte que @terresco, qui vient de se présenter juste au-dessous de mon post et dont je vous invite vivement à aller lire ses articles de voyages, connait sur le bout des doigts puisqu'ayant participé à l'intégralité de l'aventure ! Début des années 2000, La Tunsie, je ne connais de la voile que le windsurf, le laser et les gamelles que l'on se prend en pratiquant ces sports. La navigation en voilier n'a rien à voir avec le sport. Preuve en est s'il le fallait, il ne faut pas tomber ! L'aventure en voilier c'est un peu comme devenir pompier ou pilote d'avion, tous les gosses en rêvent et devenant moins gosse avec le temps, très peu franchissent le pas. Je me lance dans l'achat d'un petit voilier, un 24 pieds, chantier Tunisien fait sur le moule du First 25. Très ressemblant par ailleurs. Le bateau flotte, c'est déjà ça, le moteur démarre, c'est à peu près la seule chose que je sais faire avec un moteur, et l'intérieur est horrible. On commencera par ça avec @terresco un jour où nous n'avions rien d'autre à faire. Un coup de téléphone, j eparle là vraiment de téléphone, ceux avec un fil, et rendez-vous au bateau équipés de marteaux, et... Boom... cracks... Brrrriiiikkp... Nous sommes sortis de là-dedans 2 jours plus tard en laissant l'intérieur du bateau vide. Il y a eu ainsi 6 mois de chantier durant les quels par moment je rangeais ce que je pouvais pour aller faire un tour en mer et... apprendre. Je me rappelle très bien la première sortie. Un jour où les rafales de vents atteignaient les 1 noeud ! Le jeux consistait à tirer sur les cordes, n'importe lesquelles, et à regarder ce qui bougeait. Je profite ici pour préciser que @terresco est l'un des meilleurs tireurs de cordes que je n'ai jamais rencontrés !!! Plus précisément dans la catégorie "n'importe quelle corde"! Voilà le début de l'histoire. Pour faire court, la suite a été un mélange de sorties en mer et de polyester combiné au bois. Six mois plus tard, à une semaine de lever l'ancre, lej'achevais les travaux avec davantage d'expérience en munuiserie qu'en navigation. Départ pour la France avec deux amis, sur un 24 pieds, et le retour avec ma chérie de l'époque un mois plus tard à une époque où je ne savais même pas qu'il fallait faire des formalités d'entrée et de sorties des pays. Je n'en ai d'ailleurs pas fait! Des souvenirs incroyables. |

In the early 2000s, La Tunsie, I only know sailing, windsurfing, laser and bowls that one takes while practicing sports. Sailing in a sailboat has nothing to do with sport. The proof is if necessary, you must not fall! Sailing adventure is a bit like becoming a firefighter or an airplane pilot, all the kids dream about it and becoming less childish with time, very few take the plunge. I am starting to buy a small sailboat, a 24-foot one, Tunisian construction site made on the mold of the First 25. Very similar by the way. The boat floats, that’s something, the engine starts, it’s about the only thing I know how to do with an engine, and the interior is horrible. We’ll start with that with @terresco one day when we had nothing else to do. A phone call, I’m really talking about phones, those with a wire, and go to the boat equipped with hammers, and... Boom... cracks... We got out of there 2 days later leaving the inside of the boat empty. There were thus 6 months of construction during which at times I tidied up what I could to go for a trip to the sea and... learn. I remember the first outing very well. A day when the gusts of wind reached 1 knot! The game consisted of pulling on the ropes, any ones, and looking at what was moving. I take this opportunity to point out that @terresco is one of the best rope shooters I have ever met!!! More precisely in the category "any rope"! Here is the beginning of the story. Long story short, the sequel was a mix of sea trips and polyester combined with wood. Six months later, a week before the weigh of anchor, I completed the work with more experience in Maritime than in navigation. Departure for France with two friends, on a 24 feet, and the return with my sweetheart from that time a month later at a time when I didn’t even know it was necessary to do formalities for entering and leaving countries. I haven’t done any by the way! Incredible memories. |
