A las faldas del Chamizo nos encontramos con una laguna temporal que aparece cuando las lluvias, o las nieves, han sido lo suficientemente generosas para colmarlas de agua. Infinidad de especies se benefician de este hábitat mientras permanezca. Desde anfibios, que se reproducen en sus remansos y que conocen sabiamente cuanto les durará el agua y el tiempo del que disponen para realizar su metamorfosis.
