Es sorprendente la capacidad de reciclaje y de renovación que tiene la naturaleza por si misma. A veces me pregunto como la vida puede persistir a pesar de los intensos y continuos impactos ambientales a los que se ve sometida continuamente, especialmente por la acción de los seres humanos.

It is amazing how nature has the capacity to recycle and renew itself. Sometimes I wonder how life can persist despite the intense and continuous environmental impacts to which it is continually subjected, especially by the actions of human beings.

Si tan solo dejáramos de contaminar y la ayudáramos un poco a recuperarse, la generosidad de la vida se abriría camino por doquier con esa fuerza poderosa y vital que la caracteriza.

Un jersey abandonado en el campo, se termina convirtiendo en pasto de la vegetación. Las semillas germinan y se abren paso entre los tejidos que con el tiempo le hará desaparecer o desintegrarse en este entramado alquímico donde se mezclan los elementos.

Siempre es preferible encontrar el campo limpio de residuos. Ser más agradecidos con los que nos ofrece la madre Tierra en lugar de corresponderle con basura, aunque en esta ocasión es cuestión de tiempo que desaparezca o se convierta en parte de la misma.

It is always preferable to find the field clean of waste. To be more grateful with what Mother Earth offers us instead of reciprocating with garbage, although on this occasion it is only a matter of time before it disappears or becomes part of it.

No solo deberíamos “reciclar”, es la última de las opciones. Reflexionar, recuperar, reparar, reducir, rediseñar……En nuestras manos está elegir opciones más biodegradables, para que al menos, dañemos menos el ecosistema o incluso, puedan ofrecerse opciones que la mejoren (envases compostables, con semillas, o que ofrezcan nuevas posibilidades de uso con un mayor beneficio ambiental).

We should not only "recycle", it is the last of the options. Reflect, recover, repair, reduce, redesign...... It is in our hands to choose more biodegradable options, so that at least, we damage less the ecosystem or even, we can offer options that improve it (compostable containers, with seeds, or that offer new possibilities of use with a greater environmental benefit).
