Diamond Dust and Drifting Snow
It's cold here again. Today it's -9 to -10 degrees Celsius, and we have a strong wind. I feel colder than the actual temperature. When I went outside, I immediately saw diamond dust. The sun was shining and the wind was cold but beautiful.
I went to the usual forest and walked with my dog. The river and the lake were frozen again. I saw the drifting snow phenomenon on the smooth icy lake and the road. I want spring to come soon, but I like seeing the diamond dust and drifting snow phenomenon because they are beautiful.
In the first photo, you see a chunk of snow blown by the strong wind. In this photo, you see shining small white dots, which are diamond dust. When I see this moment, I just feel happy but freezing cold.

Drifting snow surrounded our car when we went home. I loved feeling this moment, but luckily, we didn't have any cars around us when we experienced a whiteout.
I love these boots when it's very cold. These boots can withstand temperatures around -20 degrees Celsius. Even if I wear summer socks or go barefoot on a very cold day, I still feel very warm. However, I wore warm winter socks today.

また寒いです。今日はマイナス９−１０度ぐらいで、強風です。風が強いと実際の温度よりもさらに体感温度が寒く感じます。外に出るとすぐにダイアモンドダストが見えました。太陽が輝いていて風が冷たいけれど綺麗でした。
いつもの森まで行って森の中を歩きました。川と湖は凍っていました。凍ったなめらかな湖の上で地吹雪が見えました。春が来てほしいですが、ダイアモンドダストと地吹雪の現象を見るのはとても美しいので好きです。
１枚目の写真には強風で飛ばされた雪の塊が見えます。この写真ではキラキラした白い水玉が見えますが、これがダイアモンドダストです。この瞬間を見ると嬉しくなりますが、やはり寒いです。
地吹雪で固まった雪の上に木の影があります。

寒いです。ドュードの顔には小さなツララがぶら下がっているようです。
今日は川が凍っていました。鹿たちが元気だといいのですが。
湖のうえで地吹雪が見えました。強風で雪が飛ばされ、波のように凍った湖の上をゆっくりと進んでいました。
帰り道、地吹雪で車が包まれました。この瞬間は好きなのですが、ホワイトアウトになった瞬間はラッキーなことに周りには車がいませんでした。

I had heard of snow blindness but until I saw for myself how fresh snow can sparkle I could never understand how it could blind a person. These pictures do not give that sparkle justice but they are still breathtaking. By the way, I !LUV those boots. What company makes them?
Thank you! I love seeing sparkling snow. It is cold, but such a treasured moment. Those snow boots are Mammut products. I like this brand because they sell very simple, solid items that last for a long time. I have used these boots for almost 8 years, and they are still fine, despite some minor damage.
Oh my god, how snowy landscapes fascinate me!! Only once in my life was I able to witness a snowfall here in my country and I felt so amazed that I can still remember every detail. I am glad that you liked the snow photos! Sometimes I want to experience a tropical country without snow in winter. However, I don't think I can survive hot weather very well. My dog also enjoys the snow because he was born in February! He is a winter boy ;)
I am sure that you would enjoy the tropics in winter, because, in summer, the heat is unbearable. And since I, who live here, am used to the heat, I don't even want to imagine what it will be like for people who are used to the cold climate.
