Blackout - Sadness and Happiness For Each Individual

Hello everyone 👧.

It's peak working season for me currently. The workloads are so overwhelming that I have to work more than 12 hours almost every day and sometimes stay at work midnight. Yesterday, even though it was Sunday, I went to work. I need to complete a task that I need to submit to my client the next working day.

A sudden blackout happened at night. I feel frustrated as I haven't finished my urgent task. I have to pack my stuff and bring that work task to finish it at home. Fortunately, this blackout did not last long. I'm glad I can continue my work in the office instead at home. However, I heard unsatisfied voices from people outside my office. Those voices are from the storekeepers at the Mini Mart just opposite my workplace.

Those storekeepers are able to clock out and shut down the Mini Mart shutter to end the business operation early due to the blackout. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so as the blackout recover.

Blackouts occurred again the next day or today. I expected this to be a short-term blackout, but it is not. This time, I'm really have to pack some of my work and return home early. Also, I saw notifications on social media that my work area would endure longer blackout hours, and I saw many residents' comments complaining about this.

When @butwo (who works overtime with me for work) locked the office door, the Mini Mart's shutter was already closed. This means that storekeepers returned home 2 hours earlier than their usual working day time. Although I did not see them, I can imagine they are happy thanks to this blackout.

When I was underemployed before, I understood and felt the same happiness if blackouts happen during working hours. Currently, as a entrepreneur myself, I feel the opposite way. The reason is Time is Money.
