Steel Blue Scenes on the Bay

english_bay_bomb_cyclonPB200006.jpg

In the distance a ship is seeking shelter around the cove. Perhaps they're expecting heavy winds tonight as the extreme weather event rages in the ocean. A brave sailboat roams the pacific water. A UFO light can be clearly seen on the horizon.

As the #BombCyclone churns off the Pacific Northwest coast, the atmospheric river to the south unfurls into a firehose, dousing Northern California and Oregon with non-stop precipitation. pic.twitter.com/NBq8g7h1tS

Steel, cobalt - it's damn hard to find words for sky and sea that illustrate the richness of it. I can never quite manage it.

Heh. I like to get flowery with the adjectives. Cobalt skies sounds poetic too. I just thought of Royal Blue, which was very popular in colonial times.

What a beautiful shot... the tones are beautiful and the clouds... the sailboat is really brave... I love that you captured the UFO!

Thank you! The sun now sets at around 4:30 PM up here and creates a nice soft light in the afternoon.
