Sunset In Duck Paradise

avatar

There is such an expression - the tip of the iceberg, i.e. we see only a small part of what is big, the rest is hidden from us. For example, most of the iceberg is underwater.
But what I wanted to say now is not about floating blocks of ice, but about sunset.
It happens that we cannot see the Sun itself during sunset, because the western side may be hidden from us by a forest, a hill, or other buildings. For example, I can't see the sunset from the windows of my house because the sun is hiding behind the forest on the hill. So tonight I was at the lake and watched the sunset echoes. My gaze was directed to the east, and there the dense cumulus clouds were colored by the rays of the setting Sun.

I'm not just looking towards the east, I need to go there. My house is in that direction. Now I will no longer stay in Kirov at a rented job after work to go back to the office in the morning. I gave the keys to the new owners of the apartment today.
And most importantly, on Saturday, my daughter left for Moscow to study at the University. And yesterday I realized that now my wife and I will live in our house without children. Of course, my mom still lives with us, but...
For 36 years, we always had one of our children at home with us. When the eldest son went to study in St. Petersburg in 2007, our daughter Masha stayed at home, and a year later Sasha appeared.
Masha left for Moscow in 2013, but Sasha also stayed with us. And now she's gone, too.

Chicks have to fly out of their nests to live their lives.
But... When my son left, my wife and I were 19 years younger and we didn't worry about him. When Masha left, there was no anxiety in me, I was confident in Masha. But I'm worried about Sasha. My wife and I sometimes feel like she, like Alice from Wonderland, doesn't live in the real world. Now she has made a doll image.
Has anyone seen the 2001 movie "Legally Blonde"? So our daughter now looks like Elle Woods.

Sure... Everything should be fine and will be fine.
And now I suggest we look at the lake. I had never seen such a large number of ducks on it before. I have already shown a flock of swans surrounded by many ducks. There were no swans today, but there were a lot of ducks.

A real paradise for ducks. There is a lot of food, but there are no hunters here. I hope there are no poachers on this lake. Hunting is prohibited here, because it is conditionally considered a part of the city.

I've had a long day today.
I woke up at 5 a.m., it's almost one a.m. the next day... It's time to sleep.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.

I think there is always one child that we worry about a bit more than the others. I learned that even though it might not be my way, that child will make it just fine in her own way.

Ducks are beginning to gather here in large flocks also. Some will stay all winter, but others will migrate further south

Beautiful photos!
