Hello Istanbul ~ Merhaba İstanbul

Hello everyone from Turkey's largest and most populous city. Istanbul is literally the meeting point of Europe and Asia. This ancient city, which connects the continents of Asia and Europe, carries the traces of thousands of years of history and dozens of cultures.

Türkiye'nin en büyük ve en kalabalık şehrinden herkese merhaba. İstanbul, kelimenin tam anlamıyla Avrupa'nın ve Asya'nın buluşma noktasıdır. Asya ve Avrupa kıtalarını birbirine bağlayan bu kadim şehir, içinde binlerce yıllık tarihin ve onlarca kültürün izlerini taşıyor.

I have recently made drastic changes in my life. You know, I quit my old job. After quitting my job, I moved from İzmir to Gebze, a district of Kocaeli. Leaving Izmir was not easy for me. I love İzmir very much. I mentioned it in my previous posts. If Istanbul is the queen of Turkey, Izmir is the princess of our country. Anyways. I left the princess and came to the queen's side. There are many job opportunities here and it is very close to Istanbul. At the first opportunity, I fled to Istanbul and wandered around a bit. I took these photos from my phone while traveling.

Yakın zamanda hayatımda köklü değişiklikler yaptım. Biliyorsunuz, eski işimi bıraktım. İşi bıraktıktan sonra İzmir'den Kocaeli'nin ilçesi Gebze'ye taşındım. İzmir'den ayrılmak benim için hiç kolay olmadı. İzmir'i çok seviyorum. Önceki postlarımda da bahsetmiştim. İstanbul Türkiye'nin kraliçesi ise İzmir de ülkemizin prensesidir. Neyse. Ben prensesi bıraktım ve kraliçenin yanı başına geldim. Burada iş imkanları çok fazla ve İstanbul'a oldukça yakın. İlk fırsatta da İstanbul'a kaçtım ve biraz gezdim. Gezerken telefonumdan bu fotoğrafları çektim.

There is an astonishing liveliness and crowd here. I had visited Istanbul dozens of times before, but now that I live near it, I looked at it from a slightly different angle. At first glance, the excess of domestic and foreign tourists caught my eye. I did not have any problems with public transport and transportation. However, I believe that living here will be a lot of fun.

Burada şaşılacak derece bir canlılık ve kalabalık var. Daha önce onlarca defa İstanbul'u ziyaret etmiştim ancak artık yakınında yaşayacağım için biraz daha farklı açıdan baktım. İlk bakışta yerli ve yabancı turistlerin fazlalığı gözüme çarptı. Toplu taşıma ve ulaşım konusunda sıkıntı çekmedim. Ancak burada yaşamanın çok eğlenceli olacağına inanıyorum.

This is Galata Bridge. It has a wide area where pedestrians and cars can pass. Below are restaurants. There is also an underpass to cross under it. The tower you see on the left side of the photo is the Galata Tower. We will go there soon.

Burası Galata Köprüsü. Üzerinde yayaların ve arabaların geçebileceği geniş bir alan bulunuyor. Altında restoranlar yer alıyor. Ayrıca altından karşıya geçmek için de altgeçit bulunuyor. Fotoğrafın sol tarafında gördüğünüz kule, Galata Kulesi'dir. Birazdan oraya gideceğiz.

But first I had to watch the passing of these beautiful ferries. :)

There are people fishing with fishing rods on the Galata Bridge. In fact, without these fishermen, who have become the symbol of the Galata Bridge, I could not have achieved such images.

Galata Köprüsü'nün üzerinde olta ile balık tutan insanlar bulunuyor. Aslında Galata Köprüsü'nün sembolü haline gelen bu balıkçılar olmazsa böyle görüntüler elde edemezdim.

Even though the big ferries couldn't pass under the bridge, they still helped me get beautiful views where they docked. Boats and small ferries pass under the bridge, except for the big ones. There is a dazzling vitality here both above the water and above the ground. Everything and everyone is in constant motion. Nothing stops here. :)

Büyük vapurlar köprünün altından geçemese de yine de yanaştıkları yerde güzel görüntüler elde etmeme yardımcı oldular. Büyük vapurların dışındaki tekneler ve küçük vapurlar köprünün altından geçiyor. Burada suyun üstünde de yerin üstünde de baş döndürücü bir canlılık var. Her şey ve herkes sürekli hareket halinde. Burada hiçbir şey durmuyor. :)

Here it is. Galata Tower, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful symbols of Istanbul. I had to travel a bit too far on foot to get here. But when I got to the Galata Tower, I found it was worth it. I couldn't take my eyes off this magnificent building. Now I'm going briefly, but in the future, I will explain every part of Istanbul in detail. One of them will be Galata Tower. Because I hear a lot of interesting stories about Galata Tower.

İşte burada. Galata Kulesi, bence İstanbul'un en güzel simgelerinden biridir. Buraya ulaşmak için yaya olarak biraz fazla yol kat etmek zorunda kaldım. Ancak Galata Kulesi'ne vardığımda buna değdiğini gördüm. Gözlerimi bu ihtişamlı yapıdan alamadım. Şimdi kısa kısa geçiyorum ama ilerleyen zamanlarda İstanbul'un her yerini detaylı bir şekilde anlatacağım. Bunlardan biri de Galata Kulesi olacaktır. Çünkü Galata Kulesi ile ilgili çok fazla ilgi çekici hikaye duyuyorum.

One of the symbols of Beyoğlu is here. I think that the tram is an indispensable part of Beyoğlu streets. I would like to take a nice photo with the tram one day. It seems that this tram and its mobility will not run out.

Beyoğlu'nun simgelerinden biri işte burada. Tramvay Beyoğlu sokaklarının olmazsa olmazlarındandır diye düşünüyorum. Bir gün tramvay ile güzel bir fotoğraf çekilmez isterim. Bu tramvay ve hareketlilik tükenmeyecek gibi duruyor.

The Church of St. Anthony of Padua was eye-catching with its magnificent structure. This magnificent structure is located on Istiklal Street in Beyoğlu. If you pass by Istiklal Street, I recommend you to stop by.

St. Antuan Katolik Kilisesi, ihtişamlı yapısıyla göz alıcıydı. Bu muhteşem yapı Beyoğlu'nda İstiklal Caddesi'nde yer alıyor. İstiklal Caddesi'nden geçerseniz uğramanızı tavsiye ederim.

The name of this gigantic monument located in Taksim Square is Taksim Republic Monument. Taksim Republic Monument is located in the middle of Taksim Square. I can guess that it is a meeting point for Istanbulites. I can also say that it is a very meaningful monument to me as it represents the War of Independence.

Taksim Meydanı'nda yer alan bu devasa anıtın adı Taksim Cumhuriyet Anıtı'dır. Taksim Cumhuriyet Anıtı, Taksim Meydanı'nın tam ortasında yer alıyor. İstanbullular için buluşma noktası olduğunu tahmin edebiliyorum. Ayrıca Kurtuluş Savaşı'nı temsil ettiği için benim için oldukça anlamlı bir anıt olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

One of the most magnificent structures of Taksim Square is Taksim Mosque. Although I love the historical buildings of Istanbul, I really liked this mosque, even though it is a new building. Obviously I enjoyed seeing such an eye-catching building in the square. I am sure that it attracts the attention of everyone passing by Taksim Square. After the sun went down and the lights of the mosque started to turn on, it started to look more beautiful.

Taksim Meydanı'nın en görkemli yapılarından biri bence Taksim Camii'dir. İstanbul'un tarihi yapılarını çok sevsem de yeni bir yapı olmasına rağmen bu camiyi çok beğendim. Açıkçası böyle göz alıcı bir yapıyı meydanda görmekten keyif aldım. Taksim Meydanı'ndan geçen herkesin ilgisini çekeceğine eminim. Güneş battıktan ve caminin ışıkları yanmaya başladıktan sonra daha güzel görünmeye başladı.
