Top Tier
I believe that I have a fair bit of knowledge about wrist watches and watch brands; I've held a few fancy pieces, and I own a few decent ones too. No matter how high I go in terms of brand value or price tags, I still keep coming back to some good ole Casio watches.
Ask any "expert" out there, a true watch expert/lover, they will never rate a Casio below the A Tier.
Now, watches do rely a lot on preferences and looks, because the majority of people couldn't care less about the mechanics and movement. People don't even mind buying A grade replicas, and you can't really blame them, some replicas are so good that sometimes you can't even tell the difference between a top tier replica and an original piece.
But, instead of supporting the circulation of replicas and countless people getting scammed, I'd rather buy something from a more affordable brand like Casio. Maybe even get a homage piece, just like my Pagani Design homage of the Rolex Daytona.
I myself don't rely on any watch experts or other people's influence or suggestions when it comes to getting watches, but I can't deny that some watch reviewers/YouTubers do offer amazing reviews on some really good options and brands.
After I do end up discovering a good watch or brand, I delve into some research of my own. Most of the time the last confirming-nail on the coffin is made on a piece that gives me the best bang for the buck, usually on a deal or offer that I just can't refuse. The perfect package comes with something that's long lasting, fairly minimal in terms of looks, a good overall presentation, and obviously one that will serve me well for half a decade at least.
It may all sound fairly simple and easy to pull off, but I can confidently say that very few entry level brands and watches can pull it off, especially on a budget.
That's where Casio -enters the chat- whether your budget is low or high, Casio has always got your back.
I still can't believe that Casio is offering us those classics like the Vintage lineup, the Enticer, a few Edifice options, and some G-Shocks at around a $50 price range. The one you see above is from the Enticer lineup, and it usually costs around $55-60, but I got it for a solid $40 and no delivery charge. No wonder I pulled the trigger on it, it was one hell of a deal.
And now after about 2 months of proper "daily-driver" service, I can quite confidently say that I've got my money's worth. It easily competes in terms quality and comfort when compared to my decade old and beaten up Tissot, and also my Daytona homage from the new Chinese brand, Pagani Design, which is a Chronograph and is rocking a Seiko movement and mechanism inside of it.
Yes, the Casio is lighter, so it's a bit more comfy, but the more "premium" watches are usually a bit more heavy, and that is why they're usually not the best everyday option.
This watch will now have to go through the test of time, at least until I get another daily-driver.
I have been eyeing another Pagani Design homage, this one is a homage of the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. The one in the Moonshine Gold color, and the bezel is in green, thi shade of green being quite similar to British Racing Green. I surely can't afford the original, not anytime soon at least, so the homage will have to do for now.
It's mind boggling really, just when I thought that Rolex Datejusts, Daytonas and Tudor Black Bays were out of my budget, my very enthusiastic self deiced to take a peek at the current price of the Omega Moonwatch lol.
I remember my first wristwatch Casio with a plastic belt and digital timer. It was not a good fit for my thin wrist, yet, I adored it like a gold bracelet. A reliable piece with classic look and a good balance between affordability and choice- long live Casio!
I think you're talking about a vintage model bhai. I'm planning on getting one of those, but can you believe that some of those models now cost around $80 to $100? Crazy! But I'd still get one, WHY? Cause CASIO. 🔥
That's a nice watch. I've always liked Casio, my first watch as a kid was a Casio although it was possibly a knock off, it didn't matter to me, I loved it.
At the end of the day, all that matters is that you like it and it works.
I've had many replicas too, probably didn't even know back then, so I never really cared. They were replicas, sure, but they were well made though, so I flexed and showed off as much as I could whenever I got the chance lol.
OH HELLL YEAHH. 🔥
From where did you get it?
Also, drop me the youtube channel to see some reviews because I am one of those who can't differentiate between a replica and an original one.
Brought it through a friend, he buys watches regularly and has quite a big Casio collection. The product is probably from Ebay, that's what the barcode/tag takes me at least, and the seller there is verified and has a high number of reviews too. So, from the looks of things, packaging, tags, paperwork, to the product itself, I don't see any chances of it being a counterfeit.
I think now this model is also available on Daraz and a few other watch shops too, when I bought it non of the shops knew about this model.
Also, the packaging isn't always the same, it differs from region to region.
