This is a relatively new monument in Belgrade commemorating the important Serbian warrior and ruler of the Medieval Ages, Stefan Lazarević (Стефан Лазаревић, 1377–1427).

A well executed sculpture. He's standing like a kingly knight. No doubt Stefan must have been a pretty important figure in Serbia's history and they decided to honor him by putting up this statue of him. Thanks for posting.

Stefan Lazarević deserves this recognition. One of Serbia's greatest medieval rulers and such an underrated historical figure. Belgrade needed this monument, his contributions to Serbian culture and military should never be forgotten

Nice to see Serbia honoring its medieval heroes. Stefan Lazarević was such an underrated ruler, brilliant military strategist and patron of arts. This monument looks really well done too
