[ENG-SPN] Resilience / Resiliencia

If I had to apply this magnificent metaphor, imagined by Villon, to a real place to refer to the inexorable passage of time, as is the snow of yesteryear, with my eyes closed and without hesitation, I would point to this place, lost and sometimes rediscovered, which, even today, after centuries, continues to be inextricably associated with the legend that made this land of bickering great: Castilla.

The immovable foundations of their houses having risen on the side of one of the largest monasteries built by the hand of medieval man and whose name, at this time I prefer, like Cervantes, to apply the castling technique and draw a thick veil, which seem staggered by the unappealable passing of the years, are another of the most memorable testimonies that do justice to this land of bread and wine: its resilience.

Si tuviera que aplicar aun lugar real esa magnífica metáfora, imaginada por Villon, para referirse al paso inexorable del tiempo, como es la de las nieves de antaño, con los ojos cerrados y sin dudarlo, señalaría este lugar, perdido y en ocasiones reencontrado, que, todavía hoy, al cabo de los siglos, continúa indisolublemente asociado a la leyenda que hizo grande esta tierra de dimes y diretes: Castilla.

Surgidos los inamovibles cimientos de sus casas a la vera de uno de los más grandes monasterios levantados por la mano del hombre medieval y de cuyo nombre, en estos momentos prefiero, como Cervantes, aplicar la técnica del enroque y correr un tupido velo, que parecen tambalearse por el paso inapelable de los años, son otro de los testimonios más memorables que hacen justicia a esta tierra de pan y vino: su resiliencia.
