[ENG-SPN] Anchored in the Jalon Gorges / Anclado en las hoces del Jalón
Anchored on the banks of those formidable gorges formed by the Jalon River as it passes through the communities of Soria and Guadalajara and which, for some years now, has watched with melancholic parsimony, as the poet Verlaine would say, the ghostly passage of high-speed trains heading towards France, a picturesque little village named Somaen draws the attention of occasional travellers, who, obeying an impulse, abandon the routine of the motorway to come closer, seeking, at the very least, a gratifying visual adventure.
Its old houses, anchored like sweet little fishermen's boats on the banks of that metaphorical port that are its monumental cliffs, still preserve, despite the irreversible attacks of that deceiver of civilisations, which, without a doubt, is time, a good part of that rural and eminently functional architecture that characterised and continues to characterise a good part of that resilient Spain that refuses to die.
That is why, climbing its narrow streets, distributed like traditional terraces according to the surrounding circumstances, is rewarded by the experience of a multitude of sensations, the effect of which frees us, momentarily, from that unsupportive environment that characterizes large cities, also giving us something so essential for the spirit, such as an opportune and dignified moment of peace.

We have a place like this in Nigeria. It is not exactly like this but the houses are always on rocks as well
It is normal that there are similar places, taking advantage of the surroundings.
