[ENG-SPN] All Souls' Night / Noche de Difuntos

Although any night is a good night to take out of the Chest of Memories those old horror classics, which, although they are now gathering cobwebs, were always present in our memory, especially on nights like this, violating, with unusual parsimony, that fragile border that separates the world of dreams from that other where the terror of the nightmare dwells.

Tonight, psychosis will once again take hold of Norman Bates' broken soul and another sharp knife will dance to the sound of the drums, looking for an unsuspecting heart, while the moon, weightless in its bed of emptiness and silence, will occupy the place of honor in the metaphorical box of the opera of terror.

It is the night of the witches, of the restless spirits, of the ghosts of reason, those same ones that, according to Francisco de Goya, produce monsters and from which no one, unfortunately, is ever safe. In short: it is All Souls' Night.

Aunque cualquier noche es buena para sacar del Baúl de los Recuerdos esos viejos clásicos del horror, que, aunque ahora estén acumulando telarañas, siempre estuvieron presentes en nuestra memoria, sobre todo, en noches como ésta, violando, con inusitada parsimonia, esa frágil frontera que separa el mundo de los sueños de aquel otro donde mora el espanto de la pesadilla.

Esta noche, la psicosis volverá a apoderarse del alma rota de Norman Bates y otro afilado cuchillo danzará al son de los tambores, buscando un desprevenido corazón, mientras la luna, ingrávida en su lecho de vacío y de silencio, ocupará el lugar de honor en el metafórico palco de la ópera del terror.

Es la noche de las brujas, de los espíritus inquietos, de los fantasmas de la razón, aquellos mismos, que, según afirmara Francisco de Goya, producen monstruos y de los que nadie, por desgracia, está nunca a salvo. En definitiva: es la Noche de Difuntos.
