Let's start the week with another round of the Friendlymoose photocontest! Were you already looking forward to the subject? The subject for this round is GREEN
Green is a calming color. In color psychology, green is linked to renewal, safety, and harmony. It can reduce stress and help with focus. That’s why hospitals, classrooms, and meditation apps sometimes have green tones.

I always associate green with nature. I love to make walks in nature and I also try to keep my backyard green, so I have a green view from my house.

But don't let yourself be influenced by my ideas. There are many more things that are green and could result in interesting photos. Surprise me with your creativity.

Here is a shot I made in one of the nearby local parks. I love how everything turns green in summer. A very calming environment!

About the Friendlymoose Photocontest

The Friendlymoose Photocontest (#FPC) is a weekly photography competition featuring a new theme each week. It runs from Sunday to the following Sunday, closing at 8:00 PM CEST.

This contest is open to everyone—whether you're an experienced photographer with professional gear or a beginner capturing shots on your phone. All are welcome to join!

Each week, you can participate by creating a blog post featuring at least one photo that aligns with the current theme. Make sure to place your themed photo as the first image in the post. While you can submit an archived photo, it’s more engaging to head out and capture something new!

Your photo should tell a story on its own, but add context in your post. Share background details about the subject, location, techniques you used, and your inspiration for selecting this photo. Don’t forget to tag your post with #FPC so I can find your entry!

You’re also welcome to leave a comment on this post with your photo and a link to your blog entry.

The contest ends next Sunday at 8:00 PM CEST, after which I’ll review the entries and select three winners. Judging will be based on both photo quality and originality, as well as the accompanying background information in your post.

Winners will receive Hive tokens and Ecency points.
