It is rare to meet such a handsome in our region, especially after the events that began in February last year. But we can say that this SUV is not very suitable for our fields and forests, especially in spring, when the ground is loose. A few years ago, I was driving to my friend's house in early May in my old club-footed Niva SUV. And I met a similar Hummer in the field, but it was smaller in size. He sat down tightly on the bottom with all four wheels. I went to the car, there was a young man sitting in the passenger seat. I asked what help might be needed. Do you know what time it was on the clock? The small hand showed 6 o'clock. The guy replied to me that his father had already gone to the village in search of a tractor to pull the car out of the captivity of this spring field.
[![]()]() My first clubfooted SUV. Why clubfoot? Because the distance between the rear wheels is slightly larger than between the front wheels. It is said that this gives additional passability to the "Niva". I drove about 40 thousand kilometers in this car for a year and a half. It was the beginning of the 21st century. Gasoline was relatively cheap, and my income was relatively high. At that time, I drove this car to different places almost every day to go fishing. Often these were joint trips with his wife for 100 km or more. My wife and I were young and we had a lot of free time, because I worked at only one workplace and we had enough money to live. Now I have 4 jobs, and my income has fallen after 2014.
[![]()]() This is my second Niva car. He already had an injection engine. I used it for long trips up to 1000 km in one direction in one day. Of course, such trips were much harder on him than I drove in subsequent years in an car "Xray ", and now in a Tucson. This car had to overcome a real off-road. It was bought specifically for this purpose. By the way, my wife and eldest daughter are standing in front, and the car is behind them!
[![]()]() Now I overcome off-road in the forest, in the field and on the river with the help of UAZ Hunter. This is a car for real men. There is practically no electronics in it, windows do not open and there are many more inconvenient functions. This car was created sometime in the middle of last year for the armed forces. Minimum amenities, maximum passability. Of course, the progenitor of this car was the American Willis of the Second World War. I try not to drive this car towards the city, it is designed for dirt, not asphalt!

I have never seen a Hummer outside of the city, and even there it is rare occurrence. They seem to be purchased as status symbols, rather than for the actual utility of such a large vehicle. Where I live, almost everyone drives pickup trucks. Anyone who needs anything bigger has a utility van or lorry. Anyone with money to burn spends it on things like this:

Я с тобой согласен, что Hummer покупают как статусную покупку.
Я видел видео на ютубе как молодые бестолковые парни (конечно же, русские) просто порвали переднюю часть Хамера после того, как решили похвастаться перед девчонками и заехали в реку, но потом не смогли выехать обратно. В процессе доставания автомобиля произошла такая неприятность.

У тебя есть экскаватор? Ты им зарабатываешь себе на жизнь?

Я был очень занят. Написание со временем возобновится.

У меня нет экскаватора. Я машинист и сварщик, иногда ремонтирую такие машины. Такая работа темой будущего поста, но экскаватор, над которым я сейчас работаю, имеет много проблем: погнутые ушки ковша, сломанное Н-образное соединение, крайне сомнительный ремонт рукояти, и это только то, о чём я знаю.

У меня отец был бульдозерист-экскаваторщик. Я с детства ездил с ним на таких агрегатах.
В школе я выучился на тракториста-механизатора. Трактора - это моя детская любовь...
