MY 150 BROILER BIRDS ARE 3 WEEKS TODAY; WHAT HAS CHANGED? // LIFE OF A LIVESTOCK FARMER.
It was 3 weeks ago that I brought in my 150 birds from valentine hatchery farm. During this period I have been able to experience a huge experience and development concerning these my Broiler birds. And what I am happy about is that I was able to overcome my greatest fear, greatest fear in the sense that I brought these birds in when they were day old and moreso during the raining season. It was one of my greatest challenges. The day I brought them,it was that day rain started falling for almost 3 days non-stop. I had to improvise to keep the big pen warm in a local means, with the use of charcoal and coalpot. I am happy they are now 3 weeks old.
What has changed during the period of 3 weeks?
They have grown bigger and heavier.
Their in take of water has increased massively. Like 30liter of water.
Their feed in take now around 14kg in 24 hours.
I have changed their drinkers from the baby drinkers and feeders to the adult ones.

Wow! Very nice, brother. I’ve also tried rearing broilers, but they didn’t do well at all, so I changed to rearing local chickens.
Thanks for sharing.
Hmmmm
And rearing broiler birds is very easy if you follow the usual instructions. Did you vaccinate them or not to start with?
