Diwali celebrations with gift & hoodies
You have already seen couple of posts from me on Diwali or Deepavali, and how big the festival means for us. And same goes in the corporate world here. Diwali is the time for gifts and my company Dragonfly Financial Technologies sent us some nice goodies - a multi cook kettle from Havells and a nice hoodies. Interestingly I did not know about the gift item ( the kettle) and was aware about the hoodies because some times back we were asked about the size of that. So the kettle came as a surprise.
The kettle came in a big container and initially I thought, its the hoodies. But when the second parcel came in, I got curious to open both, because there was something unknown. The packing was pretty solid, so had to cut it carefully 😀 Who knows, if it contains the hoodies.
Reading the manual, it can be used for instant cooking of noodles and similar products, tea, momos, dhoklas, idlis, boiled egg, instant oatmeal and soup, rice etc. I don't think we will cook these in actual, but I am pretty sure, it will be used for heating momos 😜, idlies and will be handy for boiled egg and soup. I love half boiled eggs and it has been long since I ate them last. So after this holy month is over, we will set up this half boiled egg factory.😁 Two packets of rich nuts came with the gift - packed by ghosts.
Now that I knew this, opened the other packet to see the hoodies.
Loved the color and texture at first sight - I think, most men love this color.
And now look at the logo. The Dragonfly logo looks lovely on it - the color combination against gray makes it eye catching.
And the material quality is also good - will be quite handy in the coming Winter. This is our first gift from the company, since we moved couple of months back and it was really a very lovely gesture on the eve of the auspicious Diwali.
It's a common practice in India to distribute gifts and sweets to employees on the eve of Diwali, and since most people are working from remote, sweets are missing 😋 There was a celebration at office as well, with a grand lunch.
Do you get any such goodies from your employer ? On any special occasion ? Or any other gift that is given to all ?

The gift my employer gave me is a reduction in salary, as due to the financial difficulties that arose with the increased fuel, the business cannot survive otherwise. He told us and got into his new Mercedes! You are very lucky sir!
That's bad, everyone is facing financial difficulty, and its more imminent at personal level. And he does not seem to be a good leader, doing the opposite.
Really sorry about that. Having an alternate source of income would held curtail that downtime for you. I hope you do have.
I have to do a second job too! Unfortunately, my friend, I don't know if you have heard what is happening in Europe, but in my country, Greece, we live in tragic situations! In proportion to our purchasing power, we have the most expensive electricity and the most expensive fuel! Really thank you for your kind words!

Ya, now there is battle going on who is going to kettle and how :) We wanted it for the boiled egg factory and my wife is saying, she will throw all eggs :)

I love those rich nits. Each time I visit the market I make sure I purchase a handful of them especially that dabino. I also love to get tiger nuts. But you see those cashue nuts? They are bit rare here thus expensive.
I love that hood jacket gift. It would be vital during the cold weather.
Cashew nuts are expensive here as well, costs more than 100 for 100 gms.

Such a situation is sad, when businesses do not give the necessary profit and then give us something that is not in accordance with what we deserve.
