Hello to all members of this community and art lovers! On this occasion, I would like to show you the photographs I managed to obtain during one of my visits to the Armando Reverón Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, where several exhibitions were held. Specifically, today we will focus on one called "Reflections of Change," a collection of more than 30 works by Marco Antonio Jiménez, a Museographer and Graphic Designer who, through the recycling of electronic devices and other materials, seeks to show the vulnerable side of human beings, as well as awareness about consumption.

Once I entered the room, I was enchanted. It wasn't the first time I'd seen an artist transform seemingly discarded materials into something striking, but it was with this type of material. I immediately remembered that time in my childhood when I used to admire the electronic circuits my father, an electrician, used to bring home to study or repair.

In the collection called "Remnant Fabrics," the artist displays an interweaving of different materials, from ties to what appears to be foam rubber and even plastic. As I was admiring these works, one of the attendees was amazed, but mostly by the fabric of the ties, as it was linen. I found this curious, as the viewer's fascination can stem from a mystical meaning or simply admiration for the material used.

Among the most striking works were those in which the artist placed several ampoules attached to ribbons. Living under treatment can be quite difficult, especially when these treatments, like injections, can be somewhat invasive.

I've noticed that using sewing drums as frames for collages is essential. I love it because it makes the display look like a small canvas. It's always interesting to appreciate the collection of pieces together and find a connection or a memory.

Now, let's talk about my favorites. First, a pair of paintings with integrated lighting, created on a sewing drum, where the artist embroidered a pair of hearts, one a realistic version and the other a metaphorical one. The realistic heart is called "Heart of Stone" and contains small red stones inside, while the other heart is called "Heart of Hearts," and inside the figure are small hearts made of different materials. I found it curious and very charming!

And finally, we have the "Consciousness Meters," through which the artist shows us a selection of diverse images ranging from the everyday to the most unlikely; it's the kind of work that seeks to make the viewer reflect, and the artist does so in an ingenious way.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del arte! En esta ocasión, me gustaría mostrarles las fotografías que logré obtener durante una de mis visitas al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas Armando Reverón, en donde se hallaban varias exposiciones, pero específicamente hoy nos centraremos en una llamada "Reflejos del Cambio", una recopilación de más de 30 obras de Marco Antonio Jiménez, un Museógrafo y Diseñador Gráfico, que a través del reciclaje de dispositivos electrónicos y otros materiales, busca de mostrar el lado vulnerable del ser humano, así como la conciencia acerca del consumo.

Una vez que ingresé en la sala, quedé encantada. No era la primera vez que veía cómo un artista transformaba materiales aparentemente de deshecho en algo llamativo, pero sí con éste tipo de materiales. Inmediatamente, recordé ese tiempo de mi infancia en donde solía admirar los circuitos electrónicos que mi padre, el cual, era electricista, solía llevar a casa para estudiar o reparar.

En la colección llamada "Tejidos Remanentes", el artista muestra un enlazado de distintos materiales, desde unas corbatas, hasta lo que parece ser goma espuma y hasta plástico. Cuando me encontraba admirando estas obras, uno de los asistentes quedó maravillado, pero más que nada por la tela de las corbatas, pues se trataba de tela de lino. Me pareció curioso, pues la fascinación del espectador puede provenir desde un significado místico, hasta simplemente la admiración por el material usado.

De las obras más impactantes, fueron donde el artista colocó varias ampolletas amarradas a unas cintas. Vivir sometido a tratamiento puede ser bastante difícil y más cuando estos pueden resultar algo invasivos, como las inyecciones.

He notado que el uso de los tambores de costura como marco para collages, es algo imprescindible. Me encanta, pues hace que lo expuesto luzca como un pequeño lienzo. Siempre es interesante apreciar el conjunto de piezas reunidas y hallar una afinidad o un recuerdo.

Ahora, hablemos acerca de mis favoritas. Primero, un par de cuadros con luz integrada, creados en un tambor de costura, en donde el artista bordó un par de corazones, uno versión realista y otro metafórico. El corazón realista lleva por nombre "Corazón de piedra" y en su interior, contiene pequeñas piedrecitas rojas, mientras que el otro corazón, se llama "Corazón de Corazones" y dentro de la figura, se encuentran pequeños corazones de distintos materiales ¡Me pareció curioso y muy encantador!

Y para finalizar, tenemos los "Medidores de conciencia", a través de los cuales el artista nos muestra una selección de imágenes varias que van desde la cotidianidad hasta lo más inverosímil; es esa clase de obras en donde se busca hacer reflexionar al espectador y el artista, lo hace de una forma ingeniosa.
