Hola amigos en #hive... Días atrás desperté muy temprano, a las 4:00 de la madrugada según recuerdo (algo que me quedó de mis costumbres de antaño, cuanto trabajaba bajo un horario en una empresa y la cual aún no logro modificar)... Pero volviendo al hecho, lo cierto es que, para pasar el tiempo y en espera de que el resto de los habitantes de la casa despertasen, decidí sentarme en mi PC y hacer algunas pruebas alterando varias de mis fotografías con diversas herramientas como Photoshop, GIMP, PhotoScape y afines, las cuales tengo instaladas desde hace tiempo en mi PC.

Hello #hive friends... A few days ago I woke up very early, at 4:00 am as I remember (a reminiscence of my habits of yesteryear, when I worked under a schedule in a company and that I still can not change) .... But back to the fact, the truth was that to pass the time and waiting for the rest of the inhabitants of the house to wake up, I decided to sit at my PC and do some tests altering some of my photographs with various tools such as Photoshop, GIMP, PhotoScape and the like, which I have had installed on my PC for some time.

El resultado de aquél día fue gratificante y lo compartí aquí en #Hive en una publicación, inclusive ese día logre desarrollar una especie de "método relativamente estándar" para tratar algunas fotografías y llevarlas a algo similar a una imagen que exprese lo que deseaba hacer con las fotos originales... Y desarrollar un "método" ya es todo un hito en mi existencia, pues me conozco por poseer una "anarquía" prácticamente innata para todo cuanto me antojo de hacer en cualquier aspecto de mi existencia cotidiana... Pero bien ¡Quizás se trate de un cambio finalmente devenido en mi cincuentena!... 😎

The result of that day was gratifying and I shared it here in #Hive in a post, even that day I managed to develop a kind of "relatively standard method" to treat some photographs and take them to something similar to an image that expresses what I wanted to do with the original photos... And developing a "method" is already a milestone in my existence, since I am known for having an almost innate "anarchy" for everything I feel like doing in any aspect of my daily existence... But perhaps this is a change that has finally come about in my fifties!... 😎

Bien, hoy repetí mi experiencia alterando mis imágenes digitalmente e inclusive tomé algunas capturas de pantalla de como lo estoy haciendo, esto quizás pueda ser de interés para alguien cuyo aburrimiento matutino y levantarse de madrugada, necesite algún remedio.

Well, today I repeated my experience by digitally altering my images and even took some screenshots of how I'm doing it, this might be of interest to someone whose morning boredom and early morning wake up needs some remedy.

ABOUT THE PROCESS:

Todo comienza como siempre, con una de mis fotos siendo procesada en Adobe Camera Raw (debo de confesar que estas las hice expresamente para experimentar luego alterándolas)

It all starts as usual, with one of my photos being processed in Adobe Camera Raw (I must confess that I made these expressly to experiment with altering them later).

Luego en Photoshop trabajo sobe el JPG base (Al cual llamo "ORIGINAL").

Then in Photoshop I work on the base JPG (which I call "ORIGINAL").

Hasta ahora la gran mayoría de las alteraciones de imagen las he llevado a cabo usando el filtro "Licuar", el cual tiene unos cuantos pinceles (como el de arrastre y el de molinete, que son realmente herramientas encantadoras. Además, en el modo avanzado de este filtro se pueden ajustar valores de tamaño, presión e incluso velocidad de los pinceles usados.

So far the vast majority of the image alterations have been carried out using the "Liquify" filter, which has a few brushes (such as the drag and pinwheel brushes, which are really lovely tools. Also, in the advanced mode of this filter you can adjust values for size, pressure and even speed of the brushes used.

Estoy usando el filtro "Pintura al Oleo" para generar textura y un agradable efecto "artesanal" sobre las imágenes, me falta experimentar con otros similares, pero lo iré haciendo poco a poco.

I am using the "Oil Painting" filter to generate texture and a nice "handmade" effect on the images, I still need to experiment with other similar ones, but I will do it little by little.

Seguramente estoy sonando como un tonto, pero después de casi dos décadas usando Photshop solo para ajustar luces, contraste, niveles y desaturar en las fotos... ¡Estoy tan divertido como un niño con su juguete nuevo usando filtros que siempre había ignorado!... ha ha ha 😂... ¡Nunca es tarde para comenzar, dicen por ahí algunos!.

I'm probably sounding like a fool, but after almost two decades of using Photshop just to adjust highlights, contrast, levels and desaturate in photos.... I'm having as much fun as a kid with his new toy using filters I've always ignored!... ha ha ha 😂.... It's never too late to start, some say...!

Los filtros que estoy usando no son del tipo "solo colocar y ya", por el contrario, estoy usando aquellos que me permiten trabajar palmo a palmo la imagen, alterando a placer su forma, su textura e incluso sus colores y luces... (esto es un poco como "pintar" pero para alguien como yo, cuyo talento pintando es bastante precario, así que por eso me apoyo con mis fotos como lienzo base)... Para finalizar la imagen incluso uso algo tan simple con PhotoScape, en donde puedo hacer recortes, superposiciones, rotaciones y cosas similares... El tiempo que invierto por imagen suele estar por encima de los 40 minutos, pero cuanto más voy haciendo esto, más tiempo invierto en cada imagen, pues las posibilidades son muchas y es algo divertido de hacer.

The filters I'm using are not of the "just place and go" type, on the contrary, I'm using those that allow me to work inch by inch on the image, altering at will its shape, its texture and even its colors and lights... (this is a bit like "painting" but for someone like me, whose painting talent is quite precarious, so that's why I use my photos as a base canvas)... To finalize the image I even use something as simple as PhotoScape, where I can do cropping, overlaying, rotating and similar things... The time I invest per image is usually over 40 minutes, but the more I do this, the more time I invest in each image, because the possibilities are many and it's something fun to do.

Obviamente los resultados tienden a lo abstracto, y seguramente no se trate de algo cuya relevancia artística sea mucha (y menos cuando se trata de algo creado por alguien cuyas dotes artísticas son limitadas, como yo)... Pero pienso que hacer esto me da la oportunidad de plasmar mis intenciones creativas de alguna manera.

Obviously the results tend to the abstract, and surely it is not something whose artistic relevance is very important (and even less when it is something created by someone whose artistic skills are limited, as I am)... But I think that doing this gives me the opportunity to express my creative intentions in some way.

Particularmente recomiendo hacer esto a cualquiera que desee pasar un rato relajante alterando sus propias fotos... ¡Es como hacer mándalas, hacer yoga o quizás algo de meditación (digo yo)!... he he he 😂... Por cierto, todas las fotografías originales y alteradas fueron hechas con mi cámara Nikon D7000 y mi viejo lente Tokina ATX-PRO 100mm f/2.8 d MACRO (¿A quien diablos se le ocurre usar un lente de este tipo para fotografiar ramas de arboles desnudos, eh?)... Lo mismo aplica para las capturas de pantalla todas realizadas desde mi PC en las respectivas aplicaciones.

I particularly recommend doing this to anyone who wants to have a relaxing time altering their own photos... It's like making mandalas, doing yoga or maybe some meditation (say me)!... he he he he 😂... By the way, all of them the original and altered photos were taken with my Nikon D7000 camera and my old Tokina ATX-PRO 100mm f/2.8 d MACRO lens (who the hell would use such a lens to photograph bare tree branches, huh?) ... The same applies to the screenshots all taken from my PC in the respective applications.
