Hello to everyone in this community and art lovers! I hope you all had a Happy New Year 😌 I think the best way to start off on the right foot is by posting about something that made me happy, so I'll tell you about the art picnic that my friend @yetsimar and I had for our get-together.

A few months ago, I tried to have a picnic like this with my boyfriend, but we ended up having more of a "food picnic," where we simply ate and spent time together, and then painted at home. It was a lovely experience, but I wanted to repeat it with someone who liked to draw, so I was thrilled with my friend Yetsimar's idea to have an art picnic at our next meeting, since we try our best to do something different and fun every time we see each other.

Unfortunately, this time I wasn't prepared for the occasion, since I didn't bring any drawing materials other than my tablet. Luckily, my friend said she would bring the supplies so we could share this lovely experience together.

We met on a Saturday at the city's East Park. The weather was quite sunny, so I chose a cool outfit, perfect for long walks. Once I met up with Yetsimar, who was wearing a lovely outfit, we went to buy a few things near the park and then chose a shady spot to sit. There wasn't much grass due to the lack of rain, but luckily my friend also brought a blanket so we could be more comfortable.

When it came time to paint, we decided that we would each do a portrait of the other. I admit, I panicked, haha, because Yetsi draws beautifully and I'm one of those people who take forever to draw. Even so, I decided not to think about it too much and just go with the flow. After all, we were there to spend some quality time together. So, between chatting, I ended up enjoying the drawing process, although several times we almost forgot to take pictures.

I was quite intrigued by the drawing my friend was working on, as we quickly caught the attention of several park visitors, who approached with curiosity. Every time someone looked at what Yetsi was painting, their expression changed from curiosity to amazement. By the time the crucial moment arrived to unveil the portrait we had created, I confirmed that my friend had painted a masterpiece.

Her drawing is not only beautiful, but I'm also impressed by how quickly she managed to create something so detailed. I was fascinated by my portrait; after all, I've only been drawn a couple of times, and Yetsimar's drawings have been the most amazing of them. Without a doubt, she's a super talented girl who deserves to be very successful in the art world. For my part, I'm very happy that my friend liked my chibi drawing showing off her cute summer outfit.

After finishing painting, we sat down to eat some peanut butter cookies and chat a bit more before going for coffee and saying goodbye. It felt like the day went by super fast, and the experience felt a little "surreal" haha, but I guess I felt that way because I'm not used to doing these kinds of things with other people, so I hope to have more experiences like this in 2026 🤗💖

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del arte! Espero que hayan tenido un Feliz año nuevo 😌 Pienso que la mejor forma de iniciar con buen pie, es publicando sobre algo que me haya hecho feliz, así que les comentaré cómo estuvo el picnic artístico que mi amiga @yetsimar y yo, protagonizamos para nuestro encuentro.

Hace unos meses, yo había intentado hacer un picnic de éste estilo con mi novio, pero acabamos haciendo más bien un "picnic de comida", en donde simplemente comimos y pasamos el rato juntos, para luego, pintar estando en casa. Fue una linda experiencia, pero deseaba volver a repetirla con alguien que le gustase dibujar, de modo que me emocioné ante la idea de mi amiga Yetsimar para hacer un picnic artístico en nuestra siguiente reunión, pues hacemos lo posible por hacer algo diferente y divertido cada vez que nos vemos.

Lamentablemente, ésta vez no me preparé para la ocasión, siendo que no me traje conmigo ningún tipo de material para dibujar más que mi tableta. Por suerte, mi amiga me dijo que llevaría los materiales para poder compartir juntas esta linda experiencia.

Nos reunimos un día sábado en el parque del Este de la ciudad. El clima estaba bastante soleado, por lo que escogí un outfit fresco, perfecto para largas caminatas. Una vez que me encontré con Yetsimar, quien llevaba puesto un outfit encantador, fuimos a comprar algunas cosas cerca del parque y luego, escogimos un lugar con sombra para poder sentarnos. No había mucha grama debido a la falta de lluvia, pero por suerte mi amiga también trajo una manta para poder estar más cómodas.

A la hora de pintar, decidimos que haríamos cada una el retrato de la otra. Lo admito, entré en pánico jaja porque Yetsi dibuja precioso y yo soy de las que tardan una eternidad dibujando, aún así, decidí no pensar mucho en ello y dejarme llevar, después de todo, estábamos allí para pasar un rato agradable entre nosotras. De ese modo, entre charla y charla, acabé disfrutando el proceso de elaboración del dibujo, aunque varias veces estuvimos a punto de olvidar tomar fotografías.

Estaba bastabte intrigada por el dibujo que estaba haciendo mi amiga, pues no tardamos en llamar la atención de varios visitantes del parque, quienes se acercaban a ver con curiosidad y cada vez que alguien miraba lo que estaba pintando Yetsi, cambiaba su expresión de curiosidad por una de asombro. Para cuando llegó el momento crucial de develar ante la otra el retrato que habíamos realizado, corroboré que mi amiga había pintado una obra maestra.

Su dibujo no sólo es precioso, sino que me impresiona lo rápido que logró realizar algo tan detallado. Yo quedé fascinada con mi retrato, después de todo, sólo me han dibujado un par de veces y los dibujos de Yetsimar han sido los más geniales de ellos. Sin duda, es una chica súper talentosa que merece tener mucho éxito en el plano artístico. Por mi lado, me alegro mucho de que a mi amiga le haya gustado mi dibujo chibi luciendo su lindo outfit veraniego.

Tras terminar de pintar, nos dispusimos a comer algunas galletas con mantequilla de maní y a charlar un poco más, antes de ir a tomarnos un café y despedirnos. Me pareció que el día pasó súper rápido y la experiencia se sintió un poco hasta "surreal" jaja pero supongo que me sentí de esa forma porque no estoy acostumbrada a haceresta clase de cosas con otras personas, así que espero poder tener más experiencias como estas en éste año 2026 🤗💖
