Today morning I lost my falcon - He flied away (2023.07.26)
Today morning I have not held the jesses of my male Barbary falcon good enough, and he flown away after jumping off from my right hand.
The location where I lost my bird: La marina del parc, Parc Nou, El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain.
The ring number of my bird: Las Lagunas 17 HPB.
I walked through the area multiple times, where I lost him today morning, but I have not seen him so far.
I really hope that I (or someone else) will find my bird.
I will stay in the area in the near future, and I will look for my bird.
I learn from this, and the next time I will be much more careful. I will also use swivel and leash.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Spain.

Sorry about that
I think there are some birds that always find their way home when they get lost. I just hope that your bird turns out to be like that too
There are many pigeons and other birds in this area, so he will easily find food for himself. Some people say that probably he already flown very far away. Either way, he is a parent reared bird. He does not used to people, so probably he will avoid people.
This is probably the best thing the bird could do for itself, as well as for you.
Sit down a while and think about my words.
You do not know me. I had a bird (a Harris's hawk) in the past too, and having a bird is my only true love in this world. Hopefully I (or someone else) will find the bird in the near future. If not, then I will buy another bird in the future. Maybe not a falcon. Maybe a Harris's hawk again. They are social by their nature.
I'm so sorry you lost him!
Thank you for the sympathy.
I'm sorry for you but I hope he does well and enjoys every minute of flying free.
Thank you for the sympathy. The falcon will be certainly well. There are many pigeons and other birds in this area, so he will easily find food for himself.
Sorry for you @xplosive ...
Thank you for the sympathy. I still have not seen him, and I have not heard about him. There is a very little chance that I find him, because he is a parent reared bird, and he does not know people. He does not trust people. But I try to be positive and hopeful.
