Embracing the peacock's vibrant spirit 🦚

Watching a peacock dancing is a once in a lifetime opportunity, unless and until you own one at home or keep a closer eye on this beautiful species in the close by area. The peacock is a beautiful bird because of its amazing beauty, colorful feathers and attractive dance. The male peacock has bright blue and green feathers, and when he spreads his wings and dances, the scene is very captivating. Infact Peacock as a bird is a great example of our amazing nature's masterpiece.

Peacock is an integral part of Indian culture and civilization, which is not only a beautiful bird but also a symbol of auspicious, sacred and cultural significance. Few days ago my sister found one dancing peacock in a garden. She snapped it and share with me. Infact she recorded the dancing video too. Honestly, speaking watching the peacock in full mood is fascinating.

The colorful shades of the peacock's feathers and their dance look very beautiful. This sight is pleasing to the eyes and delights the mind.
When the peacock dances, it appears as if it is celebrating the weather, and this happiness is transmitted to the onlookers as well. Seeing the peacock dancing, it makes us feel happiness, beauty and connection with nature, which fills our mind with joy. You can find peacock dancing especially during the rainy season. While many assume it to be associated with the rain that makes the bird cheerful. But the dancing is a natural activity that is associated with their breeding season. This is a kind of "courtship display", where the male peacock dances to attract the female peahen.

The sight of peacock dancing made me to have a closer look, which took me to the zoo. The sound of peacock in its cages did not take me long to find them. I found One Peacock surrounded by multiple peahen inside the cage.

This is the first time that I am attracted towards species of similar gender (male to male). Even the presence of four Peahen does not distracted me from taking my eyes of the male peacock. It was cloudy weather, so was expecting to see his dances. But it didn't occur till the time I was there. He keeps on roaming near the cages but never settle. I managed to multiple picture of this elegant natural beauty.

Peacock feathers have many colors, such as blue, green, and purple, which shine in the light. The beauty of these colors and the "eye spots" (ocelli) on their wings that reflect light make them even more attractive.

When a peacock spreads its feathers and dances, it looks beautiful because its feathers are colorful and shiny. But even after so long stay near its cage, I could not see him dancing. Apart from this, peacock feathers are considered auspicious and keeping it in the house brings good luck. Wish I could have one, but there were none. It appears to be in playful mood with their peahens.

In good faith - Peace!!

Many Indians prefer to keep them for good luck and prosperity. It is said that keeping them at home makes the lizards / gecko away.

Interesting! We don't have them out in the wild where I live. You have to go to a zoo.
